Don't really know. We need to see Zeref's full capabilities first before saying he'll win and same with Acnologia. Heck, even Acnologia might have a trump card. So for now stalemate.

This one is a really interesting battle because I see it going both ways.

Power Ranking

Logically, Zeref (FH) should take this. He is immortal (cannot die) and has infinite magic power (unlimited attacks). Zeref is virtually a god at this point. Unless Acnologia can somehow extract this power from Zeref and use it for himself, he loses.

Reality (Prediction)

Despite being wrong many times, I predict that this fight will be canon. And more than likely, Acnologia will win. Working backwards, we know Natsu will be the one to defeat Acnologia. And it seems he's already shown his last trump card. So the only way for Natsu to win against Acnologia is to have Fairy Heart's power. And for that to happen, Zeref will most likely have to die. The way I see it, Acnologia will kill Zeref and Natsu will attain FH to avenge his brother. The real question here is how Acnologia can bypass immortality. And I really don't know how...

I don't see why Zeref couldn't just Freeze Acnologia, Transform him back into his human form and death wave him.

I have a feeling that Acno will win after a huge struggle against Zeref, but I cannot explain it. I know, that Zeref should win by logic, hype and feat. But it seems like Acno defies logic all the time.

Zeref's attacks would just get eaten and Acno can erase Zeref as many times as he wants but Zeref will just come back the same as before.

So logically its a tie, but im fairly sure Acno would win just cause he still feels like the most dangerous. Zeref going on about how he couldnt beat him before kinda makes me feel that Mashima will make him lose despite the new powerup just to crush Zeref's hopes. I mean, Zeref cant win now can he? If Zeref beats Acno then its Neo Eclipse time and everyone is screwed, if Acno beats Zeref then its just business as usual.

Logically, infinite magic Zeref wins. Acnologia shown that his eating power can't handle limited power of timelapse without other dragon slayers help to maintain some balance bs while Zeref had no trouble with infinite magic + timelapse.

Acnologia isn't even going to get close to killing any form of Natsu as easy as FH Zeref did. It is doubtful that he will oneshot any ds as easy as Zeref stabbed Natsu's chest. He is going to get rekt despite Natsu isn't in his best health after fighting Zeref.

I don't expect any positives suprise from Mashima. Hope I am wrong though.
