Simple reason is that Aldo seed >>>> August in stats.
- Ajeel's sand is irrelevant because Aldo seed has AOE attacks.
- Gildarts crash is doing nothing to someone that strong, Aldo seed no sells is.
- Racer's magic + meteor makes August far faster relative to his tier, but it doesn't matter because Aldo seed himself is insanely fast. Current Natsu couldn't even comprehend Aldo seed's attacks, he was that fast. At best, August will be able to dodge a few attacks, but he gets taken out relatively fast.

May I ask which Aldoron aoe attacks cover an entire town
As for aldron speed, is aldron faster than suzaku, who also was hard to follow for natsu. Imean August can be nearly as fast as suzaku with meteor and than even faster with racer magic
