A fan of Tsukasa Hojo/City Hunter/Cat's Eye, anyone?

What I like about this serie is basically it's one masterpiece of Hojo's manga. I enjoy his plain humor and the way he creates his female characters - they're bold, charming and secretive; besides Tsukasa Hojo's plots are simple but so entertaining; plus they tend to give good messages in the conclusion which I think they are what make his works being fantastically unique.

The story in the first three volumes of Angel Heart might be a bit intense, since Saeba Ryo's in the time of grief from losing his dear wife Kaori, and Glass Heart's still in her assassin role. It must be about volume 4 when Hojo returned to his usual action-comedy style that contains some slice of life. This manga is indeed the continuity of City Hunter, but you really don't need to read City Hunter before to enjoy it.

Re: Angel Heart [downloads & all-rounded discussion]

Thanks very much, silverado, but I tried both links and they didn't work. :'[

A lot of people insisted using the link though, so I think it's just RS and me.

I enjoyed the first 3 volumes (X anime episodes in my case) more than the rest of the episodes. Ryo's an interesting character, Xiang Ying is a bit annoying at times.. I'd love it if Tsukasa Hojo ever makes a spin-off series on Glass Heart as part of Suzaku, with her troubled heart, a bit of psychology and nice operations it could turn out great.

There are some interesting stories in Glass Heart, but the episodic storyline doesn't make you want to read it all in one go.

Ah, so do I! :) I got to watch the episode that Fang Yui made appearance and lacked of interest to see more of them. Let alone the artwork in the anime is a lot worser than the original manga.

Ryo's an interesting character, Xiang Ying is a bit annoying at times..
Why so? :darn
Truly, she's cool and such a beauty. Though I enjoyed the time she spent with Shinhon (Xin Hong) more than when she's with Ryo.

Maybe you're right. But Hojo's not a mangaka who will create the kind of hard storyline, he had already gone out of his style in the prior three volumes with intense movings that had me surprised and wondered what kind of story Angel Heart would bring to. I can't say I'd love it more too if he came up with the story you suggested because it wouldn't make the serie a Hojo manga that always has the unique simpleness.

There are some interesting stories in Glass Heart, but the episodic storyline doesn't make you want to read it all in one go.
Yeah, I also agree with you, when a volume releases I can't finish through it in one read either.
