Ousama Ranking : Why... even the king was using Boji, all the time
I really start feeling bad for Daida. Bebin ended up being a remarkable character (at least for now, maybe another twist or betrayal will make me hate him
) those funny moments were cute, and Despa was great too, happy to see that Boji PU
about the anim/manga here an interesting com from Canmom (tumbr) which fits pretty well my thoughts

’d never heard of the manga before this current anime season but damn, this ousama ranking adaptation is great. gorgeous and charming character animation, love the painted bgs, lots of unexpectedly creative turns and images and moments of flashy background animation and stuff that it almost feels like a revival of early kanada, despite definitely being a modern show with action shaped by imai’s work on attack on titan - but also it’s really cool to see slightly older school techniques like a painted background embedding a pan instead of doing all the camera moves with cgi.
the story is, fitting the fairytale vibe, often very directly to the intended emotional point, which reminds me of like... certain parts of yoko taro writing, or made in abyss; it’s quite an interesting vibe bc it’s like, not trying to hide its artifice. curious to see where it goes from here. kvin naturally has a much better informed writeup here crediting all the creators who made this work. really happy to see an anime come together so well"
Will add pics of the episode later.
Senpai ga usai Kouhai no Hanashi : Another sweet episode that Kazama telling the bullies "she's mine!" was priceless. Takeda is always so sweet, whenever he feels Futaba is depressed or scared or anything he runs straitght to her help, if thats not love, what is it ?
Pics coming later
