There are restrictions for several categories. Limited to 2017 manga content. Yu Gi Oh and Gurren Lagann's manga ended in 2009 and 2017, they are not eligible. Killua hasn't appeared in 2017 chapters too.

Ray is my TPN favourite. Imho the most interesting character in the series. Overshadows Emma, even if she has been stepping up lately. Like him even better than Norman. Norman is too good. Ray has edge.

I've tried and tried, and can't get into Gintama. I can see the appeal of Gintoki though.

I love how Kurapikas brain works. Works for me even better than Ray. Now that I think about It, these two are pretty similar characters. But yeah, I actually have found it really fresh to experience HXHs world from Kurapikas perspective so strongly past year.

Thorfinn is imho one of the best all time. His journey is up there with Miyamoto Musashi, Guts, Gally, Nausiacae and others. Past year has been particulary interesting, as his temper and new ideals have really been but to test with his heritage and past catching up to him and him having find new ways to deal with it all. (Why is he the only character whose look is the old one?)

I'm not up to date with SnK. Looks like Eren has grown literally a lot.

Not familiar with Tanjirou.
