note: I used dates b4 the timeskip
At the end of the skypeia we found about the existence of the second ancient weapon,
Poseidon, and later a note apparently from Gol D Roger saying "We came here, found the text and followed its guidance".

The note implies that the Roger Pirates visited skypeia and left the note, however did he really visited it. According to Gan Fall apparently "20 years ago" there was a guest and he suspects that he must have written it, however is Roger still alive 20 years ago?, because he was executed 22 years ago, so clearly oda was giving us misleading information about who wrote the note, unless if Roger is still alive.
So who wrote the note and why. My answer is that Robin's father wrote it and not gol d roger. First of all the pirate king did not know the ancient language so even though he has the ability to hear all things, it is impossible for him to write the passage using the ancient language. He could have use their universal language and not the ancient one. This means that the message is meant for people capable to read the poneglyph, which are the scholars of ohara, however 20 years ago they were purged using the buster call and robin was the sole survivor, she has a bounty even though she was still a child. Robin's father must have thought that she can read the ancient language and left note in "poneglyphs" not only in the sky island(maybe), to encourage her to continue her journey because even though the poneglyph's only have information about the ancient weapons he knows that following it will lead her to the truth of the void century. Which would mean that the writer must have discovered the truth of the void century by conquering the grandline, this could mean that Robin's father must have been in roger's crew or at least the writer, since all of them knew about it.
As for why, Robin's father did not know about her existence until he discovered about her bounty( Or the very least he thought she was living peacefully). 26 years ago roger started his final voyage, also approximately 26 years ago olivia also left to fulfill his husband's dream in learning the void century by looking for poneglyphs.( robin is 2 years old) This would imply that his father left for a jorney and thought to have died. So approximately 30 years ago, robin's parents are together and he left her when she was pregnant, 29 years ago. He may have joined the roger pirated along their journey and kept it secret that he is from ohara. After conquering the grandline, the roger pirates disbanded because of roger's illness, and after that roger was executed. First of all we all suspect that one piece is related to the void century, or at the very least when you reached raftel there are information about the void century. Which would mean that the WOrld government is more concerned about people reaching raftel rather that finding one piece. As of now we all know that one piece is not a treasure since buggy is not interested to it, or does it even exist?.. However since raftel exist there is the possibility that anyone that reaches it can discover the truth of the void century even without the ability to read the poneglyph. SO maybe One piece is the bait to encourage the people to find raftel. That is if raftel itself is not "One piece"
Conclusion. Oda gave us misleading information so people should suspect more about the identity of the writer rather than believing that it was roger who wrote it since it will create inconsistencies and plot holes, or Roger is really alive
one last thing it is also possible that it was rayleigh who wrote the note, SO maybe Rayleigh is Robin's father ^^^^. 20 years ago hachi saved him when he shipwrecked at sea,, so maybe he jump from skypeia to the ocean.
