A relatively new series. Is that why there are no threads opened for it yet?
Still, though it's only at volume 2, I've grown to love this series already!
The setting is very unique, and there have been signs of a new plot development

What are Deadmans exactly and how were they 'infected by the Branch of Sin'? Why are the Deadmans being used for experiment? (refer to the latest chapter)
All these intriguing questions + the strange characters + gorgeous art all add up to the awesome series that is Deadman Wonderland.

This series need more love! The setting is cool, the characters are twisted and it has a nice gore level,too.

But I'm a bit curious about the connection between Shiro and the director. Are they relatives?

I'm more curious about Crow though. I wanted to see the fight between Crow and Ganta!
Instead, it wasn't done =( and we only get to see the results... Don't you find it strange how Ganta can wield his power so well even without experience?

maybe not relatives, but it is shown in chapter 8 that shiro has the same scars as the director. but they're surely connected....

Ooh, you mean the sewn up old man lying on the bed is the director? (Pardon my ignorance) I guess the 'pair of woodpeckers' he mentioned must be Ganta and Shiro then...

It is. SoSexyScans have RAWS up to Chapter 11 i think, but after that we have to wait.

@Bassment: Shiro & Ganta sure have a mysterious past. In the fight with crow he seems to remember something, which leads to one question: Why doesn#t he know about Shiro in the first? Maybe an amnesia or something like that...

Out of the first ten chapters, I have to admit this series has potential. Details concerning "The Red Man" are intriguing as well as what exactly is going on in the looney bin.

I just read the 10 chapters. Man, it's really shaping to be a good series. I love how the characters are just so cruel and the right amount of violence for the prison setting. I also like the whole jail concept they had there (with the points, fighting and the poison).

been reading this for the past few hours, and it seems like a very promising manga. the "red man" reminds me a lot of Grahf from Xenogears.

why was this moved to the Shonen section in the fiirst chapter it shows a whole classroom of children SLAUGHTERED and even a few disconnected limbs AKA the head and if you look really closely at the two page spread in the middle of the room there is a servered arm good manga it takes all the stuff from popular manga and shoves them into this great bloody mess we know as the DEAD MAN WONDERLAND!

Anyway the fights are called the "corpse carnival" deadman wonderland is the name of the theme park

also the red man is BLRAGH*beep beep beep* *communication lost*

For a start, it is published in the Shounen Ace, which is a dead giveaway it's a shounen.

Well, if you see the trends, it is growing that more violence/nudity is acceptable in shounen nowadays. Probably the genre is getting a bit more loose than previously. Plus, the Shounen/Seinen/whatever genre was never meant to judge how much the nudity/violence in a series. It is for target audience.

Take Claymore for example. It is full of nudity, and I guess no questions about the violence. Slashing heads into pieces and naked women everywhere. But still, it is targeted for young male readers, thus being a shounen. Another example is Blue Dragon. It's full of nudity and sexual scenes, but it's still a shounen.

I've seen seinen series that contains nothing of violence and nudity. They are more thoughts provoking, especially when it comes to slice of life type of manga. So why exactly they are seinen while nothing of these qualities are available in the manga?

Well I must say this serie is really good. I like the art a lot, it isn't general art we're used to see in many manga. Imo this one is far more better than eureka seven. All characters intrigue me one way or another

I'll look forward to more but I hope HQ scans comes out like the first one (though I think those were cleaned tanks)
