Reading Chapter 122 I just realized something. D. Gray Man art, especially in this chapter, reminds me of the amazing work "Moonshadow" by John Marc DeMatteis and Jon J Muth. A must read for all graphic novel lovers. It blends the absurd (crown clown) with the thought provoking (those who watch and record life) both in the storyline and in the art. The thought behind the artistic style is similar as well--I'm willing to bet real money that Moonshadow was an influence.
