"According to the site, only the limited edition DVDs have the special packaging.
- They're special colour jewel cases in alternate white and black colour. The titles are printed directly on the cases, so these are specially manufactured for D.Gray-man.
- There will also be a clear pocket sleeve for each volume, like the BLEACH anime DVD release.
- Special booklets are included in each volume.
- Extra illustration collection will also accompany the release of volume 1."

The first DVD is out 02/07/2007.

I like the second cover. Well people on amazon.jp are really hard...I saw Naruto tanks with 1-2 starts xD

For the first cover, Allens anti-akum weapon looks totally...like made of an amateur and I dont know why they mix anime style with bad computer made designs...(at least it seems like that on the little cover)

Info concerning dvd 02:

This DVD will have episodes 5 - 8, and the special case will be black this time around. Included in the DVD are an interview with Takahiro Sakura (Kanda), a special booklet, and an illustration collection (well, according to Babelfish's translation P). I don't know if the special booklet and illustration collection are the same thing or not...

Aniplex updated the cover for the 3rd DVD. It's Lenalee!

I'll get a bigger picture if I find it.

The DVD includes episodes 9-12. The DVD will also have a "Color super jewel case" (lol. oh, babelfish, how much I love thee), which I believe will be white since there will be a pattern (white-black-white).

It will be released on April 4th.

Aniplex has a preview on what each DVD will have on this page (The pictures are from the first DVD).

They also made the episodes into a wide-screen format and readjusted the sounds using Dolby Digital/stereo sound so there is a better sound/music quality.

the volume 3 cover has a very... interesting... way of mixing soft and cel-shading >.>
can't say i like it much :/
i'd want a bigger version to judge better tho

Aniplex has released the 4th DVD cover. It's Lavi!

The DVD will include episode 13-16 and the special cover will be black. A booklet with arts including background (setting) illustrations and story & characters explanations is included as well. There is also an interview with Kenichi Suzumura (Lavi's seiyuu).

You can also look here to see what are in the DVDs. The episodes looks gorgeous in widescreen format!

But at least Lavi is on the Cover and in Widescreenm it definitely looks better. I am glad that further episodes will be released in this format

surprise! it's komui and the science staff!

The DVD will includes episodes 17-20. Like the other first edition DVDs, it will include a white slipcover and a special booklet, which has character & story explanation, illustrations, and an interview with Katsuyuki Konishi (Komui's seiyuu). This DVD will be released on June 6th.

In other news, the 6th DVD will be released on July 4th according to CD Japan.
