Question Do you want a repping system at all? What should it be like?

Seeing how the ki system had to be taken down and now we are making do without one, an idea came to my mind: Let's ask the people if they want a repping system in the first place! So... vote away!!

er, yeah and no... so far there isn't anything out there newer than the one we once originally had... well there is a hack to see who is repping who, but nothing like the vB one....

but for when there is one, the outcome of this is if we will install it or not.

i kinda think its dumb and I don't really see what purpose it serves, which is why i voted i don't care.

I voted "I don't care"; it depends on the system. I wouldn' t mind it being back if it could be tweaked in such a way that not only are you required to leave a reason why you're giving that person rep but the boards also record the person who gave it.

No. I don't like an auto-name-sign thing. That will only encourage rep wars, IMO. If someone sees their neg-repped, they could just neg-rep the person who gave them the neg-rep back and then the original neg-repper will neg-rep the recipient again and it will become an endless pattern. Based on when that was enable for Senior Members at the Naruto Forums (I've heard the stories), I'd rather it have the option for being anonymous (one similar to the original rep system here).

P.S. Why have an "I don't care" option, when those will just be counted as no votes anyways? Seems kind of redundant IMO. The I don't Care votes shouldn't be counted for either side, IMO. In the event that there is a tie, the mods should decide of course. And whichever one, Yes or No, has the most votes, should be how things should go. And if Yes and No end up being tied, and I don't care has the most votes, then I think it should be up to the staff to decide. At least that's what I think...

i think so too. There was a time it kept oscillating up and down for me for apparently no reason. i dont much care about whether i have a high/low key but it was interesting.

I think its better without a ki system at all. Posters always seemed to talk about their ki in one thread or the other, and it distracted readers from the actual discussion.

Okay, we have something here called the 'ki' system - it's basically our reputation system that's set up for members to give 'points' to people that they like for something they did, or or negative points for bad posts.

Requirements to be able to ki somebody right now - you have to have over 50 posts at the moment. You can also only use it on the same person once in 24 hours.

Now, the ki system was put down after cases of negative ki abuse were observed. I hope that answers your question.

I didnt use the old system much, so my vote goes for 'I don't care' :P
