Shounen Embalming - The Another Tale of Frankestein by Watsuki Nobuhiro

Another new series by the mangaka, WATSUKI Nobuhiro , who brought us Rurouni Kenshin and Bushou Renkin. This new series run in Jump Sq Magazine. Summary of the story is not avaliable at the moment, till the scans are out, or if anyone else can provide the story.

The series looks promising, and by Watsuki no less. He's a legendary mangaka, so I expect the story will evolve better and better

OK, another stupid question (but I need it - -")

Any suggestion of how the name of the main character is supposed to be spelled? I am not sure of that most while I'm translating the first chapter. The katakana said "Hyu-ri-" but I am not that sure how the English spelling is supposed to be.

A search on Google for ヒューリー turns up spellings like Fury or Hughley. And, his last name is フラットライナー (Flatliner)? Hee.

dead body and bride is about the girl and glasses man on the colour page of the serialised chapter. the first is about the red haired man with scars all over him as far as i remember

Even without a full translation, I'm already in love with this manga. Watsuki is simply brilliant -- fantastic character designs, unique panel layouts, and action sequences that are incredibly dynamic. Hope some Manga Editors (and colorists! ) pick this one up!

Watsuki's kind of seemed like a one-hit wonder since Kenshin. Buso Renkin was pretty lame, and he hasn't done much else.

Still, I enjoyed Kenshin, so I checked out the first chapter of this.

It wasn't great, but it was decent. I figure I'll give Watsuki a few months to see how he builds upon what he has here. Who knows, maybe he'll finally get that new series that can be a hit like Kenshin was. It's been 8 years since Kenshin ended, but there's always a chance.

Chapter 1 was okay, but I don't feel very connected to the characters so far. Hopefully Chapter 2 does a better job with that.

the title "DEAD BODY AND REVENGER" meant Fury as the "dead body=frankenstein" and Peaberry the "revenger."
Edel...dies.
Raith will part with Fury and Peaberry.
Then Elm (from DEAD BODY AND LOVER) appears in the end.

At least it got me really jump.

It seems like a good manga (I've only read the first two chapters) but I can't be sure since out of Nobuyuki Anzuki mangas I only like Rurouni Kenshinbut the premise does seem unique and his art is always excellent.
