I nominate the villain

Dabi

(Is anyone surprised? )

This is a villain that has been for years and still is the subject of wild debate and speculation. This mysterious, nameless, wretched looking guy with a terrible attitude was an enigma. In many ways he still is, even though we started to learn more and more about him. We now know who Dabi is, and his motivations, but there is still much we don't know about where he comes from, what he experienced, and where he plans to go in the future. Until we know his complete story and find out the conclusion of his character arc, the enigma continues... along with the wild debates and speculation!

For me personally, I liked Dabi since his introduction. He had an interesting design, an asshole 'don't get too close to me' personality, and it was clear that there was much more to him than met the eye. Besides, blue fire is hella cool! But it wasn't until the war arc that he really got my attention. He demanded to be recognized as a threat greater than anyone suspected.

That is fitting in so many ways. In the MHA fandom, people either seem to love him, or love to hate him for being so bad at being bad. He takes himself so seriously it's hard to take him seriously at times. But he is 100% the most enjoyable villain because he goes all the way in his endeavor (haha), he fails at things and stumbles and laughs through it all and surprises us with his passion and determination and unadulterated giddiness at making his vengeful plans reality.

Whether you love or hate him, whenever he is in a panel it is always interesting! Whatever Hori has in store for him, it is sure to be one hell of a ride!
