lol i really liked how this turned out, my first time doing a dark to light soft shade...and i....think im getting a hang of it^^i kinda did a quick one with the SFX, so dont point the obvious about the SFX

Hm... The hair needs some work, and there seemed to be too much contrast with the clothes. And you seem to like to smudge alot as well. Just looks that way. Trust me I was at the same stage as you for a couple weeks. I think you may learn a bit faster though.

lol dude, who uses the smudge tool? i did the normal blending. but yeah i admit, i did go a little over board with the highlights. lol bleach pages seem....differnt than naruto pages....naruto pages r easier to clean and color

yeah, that's true. I gotta admit bleach it much harder to even cell shade than naruto because of the complexity of the lines.

I only said the smudge tool becuase it looks that way a bit on Grimmjaw's head.

Who says smudge tool is not good? Ever tried the scattering option on it? Works perfect.

Sure you can go low opacity and low flow, but this scattering smudge is easy and looks good ( don't try it with hair tho, doesn't work on that).

There are lots of different ways to create your shades, and almost everybody has their own method they like, and you'll see, one time you're gonna like smudging, then you're gonna like low opacity and flow, next you're gonna be into the airbrush, and then you're gonna go scattering smudge, until the next thing comes along. The ONLY method wich does NOT look good is the burn tool.
