Jirou was the inferior player in his previous two matches, although the Jirou fanboys here voted for him and pushed him through both matches, but in this match, Jirou should be the superior player.

Jirou wins 6-4.

Jirou wasn't inferior against Kai.

I think he isn't better than Kenya however.

Isn't Amane the one who seem to stomp Hyoutei pre-regular+Hiyoshi pretty badly? I'll say Hiyoshi back then is most likely better than Jirou. I don't see Jirou 4-6 Ryoma, at all. Since we didn't get any improvement from any of them, I'll go with Amane.

I'll summarize my point

back then
Amane>Hiyoshi>Jirou

Improvement is unknown factor, and there's absolutely no way to know. Stomping Regional Hiyoshi is enough for me, for now. Compare to the feat Jirou have, which is absolutely pathetic. All Jirou got for him is "hyped". He doesn't really deliver on them.

Nah, Amane stomped what would have likely been Districts!Hiyoshi.

It was Regionals!Hiyoshi who lost 6-4 to Ryoma.
Regionals!Akutagawa got crushed by Fuji. Regionals1R!Fuji > Regionals1R!Ryoma. (1R = 1st Round).

That Ryoma was Muga-less. Fuji at that time would have eaten him. Ryoma just had Drive B and A and the Twist Serve lol.

I don't see Hiyoshi > Jirou. Especially at that time.

I didn't know Amane stomped Regional Hiyoshi. Bring a page. I didn't know they gave a specific time when Amane bt him.

There's no page, it's just an assumption:

and there's a page that says the same "100 Hyotei members" and has Wakashi's face on it but i can't find it (give me time lol). I read it yesterday :)

I just want to say 1 thing: if Davide reaches the net before Jirou, Magic volleys won't work because he has his long racquet. AND he's damn strong (he returned JK and Hadoukyuu single handed) so it's not one sided.

And look at this:
bane doing some kind of acrobatic play lol

Jirou wins. 6-3.

Omfg he defeated 100 Hyotei members! Members which were lower ranked than Jirou -_-
Couldn't he defeat 180?

Is Hiyoshi really lower rank than Jirou? I don't see it. This will be a close match, with either side have equal chance of coming out on top. If Amane were given mountain training, I'll give to him. But beh.

And yes, stomp is assumption. If you beat 100+1 regular, that looks like a stomp to me.

I'm not sure about this, but I believe Amane defeating Hiyoshi back then is said in one of the data books. At least it's listed like that on FET.

It's a really hard choice, both of them are pretty equal, Amane has power to deal with Jirou, he returned JK and Hadoukyuu, Jirou won't return those shots. On the other hand, if Jirou didn't have MV, Amane would win this easily, but it's a match that you don't know who will win in the end.

Jirou wins 7-5, after knowing how to prevent Amane and his long racket from reaching shots.

Which we don't know is entirely true or not.

It's why I didn't cite it as evidence in my post, because it was more that it was assumed Hiyoshi was included because Hiyoshi wasn't a regular at the time, but it never specifically stated Hiyoshi was included.

And I agree.
Either way, Hiyoshi we can't prove is better than Jirou at all, so there is little point in bringing his name up.

he lost to Prefecturals!Ryoma since Ryoma didn't use Muga at all.
Then Hiyoshi got shat on by Tornado Snake which Konjiki shat on.
Then Hiyoshi got toyed with by Atobe which is in fact an achievement.

This isn't a given for Akutagawa however. But Amane has just been even more neglected.
And the way he lost 6 straight games to Regionals!Kawamura and Regionals!Momoshiro doesn't look too good.

And he and Kurobane lost to Tanishi and a random Higa fodder in Doubles according to the databook.

[18:49] Kaoz btw Sai, I think I asked you this before, but was Hiyoshi one of the 100 Hyoutei members that Amane beat? I'm not sure whether it was in one of the dbs
[18:50] Sai We don't know who in Hyoutei Amane beat
Forget what I said regarding this.
