Yeah, Yakitate!! Japan is pretty sweet. Definite funny read, check it out sometime. The group that's been doing it is at a standstill so I got impatient and wanted to do it myself. But, Yaki seems to have lots of accents and weird stuff that confuse the heck out of me.

させる is like let happen / make happen. か is like "as if" "like I would" そうは = the way you hoped....

So lit would = "I won't let you get away with this / I won't let this happen " from that you can probably think of a more fitting expression ^^.

"Sou saseru ka" means "Do you think I'd let you do that?" or alternately "Do you think I'd let that happen?" Basically, he's saying that he won't let that guard or do whatever the guard was about to do.

Suru- To do

Kanou-kei (potential form - can do): dekiru
Shieki-kei (order or allowance form - let someone do, make someone do): saseru

So in this case, the character is using "saseru" in the sense of "let." This is a little trick with Japanese as English and other languages use different words for "to let/allow" and "to make/force" (this is often a place where Japanese people have trouble when speaking or translating).

In this case it is not the potential form of "sasu" since he didn't use the kanji and it probably wouldn't make sense contextually. He's just using the order/allowance form of "suru".

It could be a weird font that you are using for your IME. I could also hook you up with "ATOK 2006" which is a MUCH better IME than Microsoft's.

my pc is japanese too, I've used nothing but a Japanese OS since windows ME hehe. anyways- still it shouldn't happen. If you help explain the situation then i can help you fix it (I trouble shoot as part of my job )
