Fullproof Whole Cake island is enies lobby 2

This arc started with someone working with the villians coming to a previous island to get our stolen hero, and shooting someone that the other here's befriend(CP9 coming for Robin and then shooting Iceburg, Bege coming for Sanji and shooting Pekoms.)

Next our heroes go after them.

Then they go and befriend 2 giant beings. (The giants of enies lobby, Pound and KingBaum)

Luffy faces off against the first person to come. Shows off a new power and defeated said opponent. (Blueno with Gear Second which also foreshadowed Gear 3, Cracker with tankman that also foreshadowed other g4 forms)

Luffy faces and army (Enies lobby fodder, enraged army.)

Two characters are imprisoned(Franky and Robin, Luffy and Mami in the books)

Luffy meets with the stolen hero, they cry saying that they want to go with straw hats(Robin saying she wants to live, Sanji after meeting Luffy)

They are told by someone working with the villain how to stop the villians(Fukoro tells them about the keys, Bege and Chiffon tell them about BMs weakness)

We get the backstory for two female characters who have "mothers" they love(Olvia, Caramel)

Also in the backstory a giant is killed(Saul, Mountbeard)

They leave the original island and become criminals over night. Then they meet someone who wants their help or to help them (Crocdile, Struesen)

That's all of what I have for now. You should be able to make the Luffy vs Lucci and Luffy vs Katakuri.

But finally.....

They come face to face with a tsunami.
And a mermaid is assisting them(Kokoro and Praline)

Characters
Big mom=Spandam(pink hair and no one is gonna fight them this arc, plus the have a saber with devil fruit powers)
Katakuri=Lucci (Advanced DF user and strongest member of the crew)
Smoothie=Kaku(both were the number twos)
Oven=Jabra(Oven may fight sanji)
Mont D'or=Kalifa(very informative characters)
The rest of CP9 I coulndt find similarities.
And a bonus fact.....
The main four of CP9 (Spandam, Lucci, Kaku, and Jabra) were all Zoans
The main four of BM Pirates Are all paramecias.

This proves my theory even more that Wano is Thriller Bark 2

To me this whole thing falls apart when spandam is equivalent to big mom. Spandam was a worthless fighter whose role in the arc did not go beyond him pretending he could boss lucci around. Big mom is more like a literal force of nature and the plot has more or less orbited around that. Her whims erase islands and lives.

Also worth noting: Bege telling the strawhats about big mom's weakness is not IMO comparable to what fukuro did. I mean, how? Not to mention they didn't even get to exploit that weakness. Big mom's "weakness" was mostly a gag so far while the keys were a crucial plot elements for a number of chapters.

Luffy faces armies pretty much every arc.

Comparing big mom's past to robin's? Come on.... Under this logic any use of a mother as a plot device would would make the arc comparable to ennies lobby. Heck, under that logic ennies lobby is exactly as arlong arc because nami has a mother. And sanji has a mother too as well to whom the plot was a bitch to. Is that like ennies lobby as well?

As for luffy vs katakuri... Not at all like luffy vs lucci. Lucci was the arc's big bad and the overall endgame. Katakuri is merely big mom's second in command and defeating him still has luffy a long way from victory in this arc as he still has to escape the island without big mom murdering him.

You missed some stuff here and there but yea wci is enies lobby 2. However big mom is not spandam, she is the buster call. Just like dressrosa is basically Alabasta 2, and zou shares some similarities (not as striking as these) to skypia

The OP is absolutely correct.

The way Luffy van katakuri feels is almost as identical to the fight towards Lucci. And exactly when was the last time when we had a true hand to hand emotional fight since Lucci?
