Have you ever witnessed or been at the receiving end of a good deed? How did it make you feel? Brightened up your day? Restored your faith in mankind? Made you feel good didn't it? (At least I hope it did). So in the style of the movie 'Pay it Forward' and the Chicken Soup for the Soul books, here's a thread to share those great moments and to spread the joy of humanity. To get the ball rolling, here's one of mine:-
It happened on the day of my final exams. My friend came to pick me up. As we were driving, the Car suddenly stopped dead. Tried as we might, the engine just would not re-start. We called for a Taxi. The operator told us there were none near our area. By now, we were in a fair panic because it was getting late (the exams u remember). Just at that moment, a Car drove by. The driver (who happened to be sending his son to school at the time) actually stopped to help us. This is a 'miracle' in itself because nowadays ppl hardly ever stop to help for fear of highway/road robbers.
Not only that, when he realized that the Car engine would not start, he gave us a lift and sent us to the doorsteps of the exam hall! We were in such a panic at that point that we just said a hurried thank-you and dashed off. We forgot to ask his name and we don't even remember his Car plate number. Because of him, we made it to the exam in time.
So Mr.X, if you ever happen to read this, THANK YOU V V MUCH! I hope your son didn't get scolded for being late to school that morning.
P.S. We both passed the exam!
