I just today stumbled upon the first episode of season 2 of Gunslinger girl. It was hard for me to contain myself. One of my all time favorite animes was going to continue. well to tell you the truth I ended up being a little disappointed.
It is a different studio doing the animation and these people seem to have kids as their target audience. I also very much missed "the light before we land" as the opening song (though the new one they have could be rather decent after some getting used to).

Anyway, if you absolutely loved the first show and wait faithfully for new releases of the manga then I am sure you will want to check this out (even if it ends up being a little disappointing). I know I will watch every episode they release, I have simply grown too attached to the characters. so if there is anyone out there like me...

Hello, sorry for archeology but i realy like this manga.
Current vol. is almoust complete it lacks only chapter 64, dose anyone have it?(raw)
Also dose anyone know if another anime is going to be made? or any news regarding this series?
And are there translators picking up this?

I really like this Manga but up to date information on its releases are very difficult to find.

Alright just reviving this thread a bit since the latest chapters are really heading towards the end of this series. I want to know what people think of the developments so far? Especially in light of the impending wipe out of the social welfare agency? The suicides of Henrietta and Jose IMO seemed pretty inevitable since her time was basically sooner rather than later - she is after all a first generation cyborg - so contrary to other opinions I think this choice was going to happen, and it pretty much is Jose's punishment. Seeing Claes soon to get back into action is something I definitely want to see.

On a sidenote does anyone LOVE the chapter titles picked by the author, namely the mythology ones? She really manages to capture its idea or essence well and transpose it to her manga chapters in a manner that impresses me.
