This is for the artists out there who want to help change to world!
Helix Interact Club, with the sponsoring La Mesa Sunrise Rotary Club (District 5340, San Diego, California, USA), is fund raising for ShelterBox Trust (http://www.shelterbox.org/home.htm), a UK charity that provides emergency aids for victims of natural disasters around the world. We need YOUR help to give those people the aids they desperately need. You can help by "donating" one or two holiday cards you have made to Helix Interact Club so that we can print and sell during the holiday season. The money raised from all sales will go directly to ShelterBox Trust. The Club will pay for printing and mailing.
If you are interested, please make sure that the cards are 4x6 in (standard postcard size), put your signature/name somewhere on the card, and email it over to 825041@helixcharter.net. The club committee still have to set up a price for each card (probably $3-$5), but we will inform you about it once we have reached an agreement.
Please make sure that they are school appropriate.
Thank you for your charity, it's greatly appreciated,
President of Helix Charter Interact Club
Leader of Interact District 5340
ps. feel free to give me any comment/suggestions/questions.
pss. Don't dismiss this as another spam; it's not a fraud.
If you are too lazy to look up what's ShelterBox Trust is all about, I have it here for you, in a nutshell.
Basically, we are buying shelter boxes to people all around the world who have been struck with natural disasters or wars. The organization has sent shelter boxes to places like Bolivia, Kenya, Pakistan, Somalia, and Philippines. Each box is about 120lb and includes various life-sustaining necessities:
• Weatherproof 10-person tent (It's huge)
•Thermal blankets and insulated ground sheets
• Waterproof ponchos and bin bags
• A multi-fuel stove that can burn anything from diesel to old paint!
• Cooking pans, utensils, bowls and mugs
• Collapsible water containers and water purification tablets
• Basic tool kit –hammer, axe, saw, pliers, hoe head, trenching shovel, rope etc
• A small, children’s pack containing drawing books, crayons, pens etc. (Kids need something to help them get away from misery and tragedy.)
