How different are the regular summons to the tailed beasts?

I wonder if this has been asked.

The difference is that the tailed beast are untamed?

if Sharingan can control manda, whats to stop them from controlling the other summons? gamabunta, snail (tsunade), monkey king(sarutobi), kakashi's dogs, and others?

im guessing these tailed beasts are the strongest and untamed beasts?
