I'm wondering about Perona

I'm not even sure if this goes to the Tree of Knowledge or not but here it is anyway.

This is a little bit late since Perona has already been royally defeated by the great Usopp/Sogeking but I have been wondering why Perona is an underling of Moria.

Surely, Moria has dreams and is not all negative, which means that Perona's negative hollow attacks would work against him. We can assume that the negative hollow would also work on Hogback and Absalom since Absalom was clearly afraid of Perona's abilities. But why is it that Perona chooses to be a subordinate of Moria?

Could it be that the doppelganger is immune to negative hollows and it moves on its own regardless of Moria's condition or could it be some other reason?

I imagine it's because she needs Moria to fulfill her goal: turning the world into cute animals. Besides, if she'd try and fuck with his power, Doppelman could probably stop her or something.

Either that or being the leader isn't cute.

Well without Hogback Moria wouldn't be much either, for that reason Absalom and Perona as well. So why isn't he in charge? Absalom could turn invisible sneak up while they are sleep and slit their throats. and the list goes on.

The fact is that without each other the whole Thriller Bark crew would fall. They each need each other.... except for absalom he seemed to only be the muscle and could have been replaced by stronger muscle. lol.

I thinking the same thing as Impel Down. She problably just needs Moria to fulfill her dream. Althought she is indeed a little too obedient and subbmissive with him for someone with her powers, specially if she was just kind of "using" him for her own purposes. So I agree with Musashi too, they're a team, and a team need a leader, which happens to be Moria. I just don't think Hogback could be the captain, unless he has some othe powers he haven't shown yet. True Moria needs him, but not only Hogback seens to panic quite easily as he'd be too weak to opose Moria. Even if Moria needs him to make zombies in order for his main power to work, he wouldn't be able to lead the crew. And he kindda also needs Moria for his zombies to work.
I could see Absalom or Perona as captains, tho, even thought Absalom really is just muscles and his Devil Fruit.

i hope she joins the SH crew cause her and ussop were meant for each other or at least they would be great rivals and i really thought she was going to when she decided to steal the SH's ship but after the last chp and her disappearing im doubtful well ever see her again

No no no no no! Perona shall not be in the SH crew! She's already been maniacal, she's been shown to be a coward who doesn't support her crew (fleeing TB), and she's gone now anyway, so that'll never happen now.

Besides, if we get any nakama out of this arc, it should, and will, be Brook.
