Early in the morning, strangers wrapped in long, grey capes, arrived before the hunters' house. Larix, scared about his and the hunter's life, developed powers, he didn't dared to dream about, and the strangers fled.
Soon after this event, Larix and the hunter traveled to the eastern magic-circle.
For his own safety, Larix must gain control over his powers... and needs to get back his memory.
Prologue
Two years have passed, since Larix joined the eastern magic-circle.
The evening sun warms the garden of the magic-circle. The soft scent of the flowers is floating in the air. Larix lies relaxed on his chair.
But this calm moment doesn't last very long. He can hear his friends, who arrived the garden now.
"Larix! There you are. We were looking for you for hours!"
Larix doesn't look up and replies calm: "What's up, Salvia?"
Salvia stem her hands against her hip. "What's up, you ask? Tomorrow is the beginning of our third year. Have you made a decision yet? You know, Lord Cardierei won't teach us any longer." Larix nods. "Yes, and that's good. And no, i haven't."
"You haven't?" Crinum sighs. "But you know, we all have to choose a new master now. He will teach us in one specific magical art."
Larix raises himself and looks to Salvia and Crinum now. "Of course, i'm aware of that. But you see, my problem is, i can't decide. Every master tried now to persuade me, that his or her arts would be the best for me. I want to learn more than just one art. But i would need a seven-days-week to accomplish this."
Salvia purses her lips. "Master De Vires said to me this morning, that i should use this third year, to work on my weaknesses. I think, you should do the same."
"Which weaknesses? I haven't any weaknesses." Crinum raises an eyebrow. "You're sure about that? When it comes to weapons, i always win against you. You suck with swords and body control. think, you should choose Master De Vires."
Larix shrugs his shoulders. "Yeah, maybe i should. I always got along with him very well too." He looks to Salvia and smiles embarrassed. "Umm, what's for time now?"
"What time?" Salvia turns around. "I guess, it's time to eat now."
Later, after dinner, Larix lies in his bed, the light is off and he wears his nighty.
But he can't sleep. Many times now was he thinking about the circumstances, how he came here to the magic-circle. How is the hunter doing now, who saved his life back then? He doesn't even know his name.
He breathes deeply. Tomorrow is an important day. He needs sleep now.
