The chapter starts with Higuruma's past. his gavel turns into the executioner's sword. the sorcerer is aware of Evidence in the envelope before it's opened. Which mentions that Yuji was not the cause of the mass murder in Shibuya, and it was Sukuna's fault.


When Higurma was about to hit Yuji with the executioner's sword it disappears, Then he is blown away by Yuji's punch. and ends with him saying "I'll give you the 100 points". We get to see a different story in Higurma's past.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 166 Title: Tokyo No. 1 Colony, Part 6


Higuruma explains that Yuuji cannot bear legal responsibility for his actions since he was not able to control Sukuna, not that he chose not to control Sukuna, so, in other words, that Yuuji is not guilty

Yuji says that it is still his fault because he was weak. Higuruma says that there are other people who are as weak as Yuji is, in this regard.

Then Higuruma asks Yuuji if he's ever killed anyone deliberately. Yuuji says yes. Higuruma: Yeah, me too. Wasn't that just the worst feeling? Higuruma agrees to help out Yuji because he's weak.

Higuruma is becoming one of my favorites with a rapid speed. Which also means he is unlikely to survive the Culling Game arc.

I actually really like Higuruma as a character. Though I feel he will become an opposite to Kento Nanami, whereas Kento became a mentor to Yuji as a sorceror, Higuruma might be a mentor to Yuji’s conscience.
Fast forward 22 chapters and he will be cut in half by Sukuna most likely.

Ooohh I like this parallel a lot! It makes sense too - just fits right. Lets hope Higuruma doesn’t share the same fate with Nanami though

Higuruma is becoming one of my favorites with a rapid speed. Which also means he is unlikely to survive the Culling Game arc.

I still didn't forgive Gege for killing Nanami, so I do hope Higuruma will get to surive.

I thought this was a nice chapter. Higuruma's DE is really tricky and terrifying. Not something that would work on uber curses or sorcerers like Gojo, but still. And besides, he still has the potential to develop as well.

I have the feeling tho that Yuji and Fushiguro's plan regarding Tsumiki won't go as expected. I really hope we won't end up with some tragedy in there.

Really enjoy that we keep getting bits and pieces of Higuruma's past, it really helps fleshing out his character more and more. Appreciate the way it's done, not too much at once (and this way we don't get distracted from whats going on between Higuruma/Yuuji).

Higuruma is a great character, though they did have to asspull the whole "he's a genius thing" to explain how the dude managed to, without mentorship or formal training, master his domain expansion within a few days of being "activated" as a sorceror.

Really enjoy that we keep getting bits and pieces of Higuruma's past, it really helps fleshing out his character more and more. Appreciate the way it's done, not too much at once (and this way we don't get distracted from whats going on between Higuruma/Yuuji).

He was using the shirt as a distraction to avoid being touched by the executioner’s blade and land a hit on Higuruma. So basically he used it the same way he used all that furniture he threw
