But still, I don't remember Yuta eating body parts of Inumaki, nor drink his blood. I still think he has to touch the target but not ingest anything.

Yuta kissed/bit the bug cursed spirit and at the same time jammed reversed curse energy into it, killing it. It's entirely possible he ate a hair from Inumaki. BNHA anyone?
