Naoya's New Domain Expansion Is named "Time Moon Palace".

In Naoya's DE, if you don't move at the same time as Naoya, you'll stop

Maki stabs him through the chest with the sword Mai created, having a brief conversation with Mai about having done a good job of destroying and now fully understanding how to use the sword.

Naoya gets angry, morphing back into monster form and trying to attack Maki but she slashes him in half and emerges a peer to Toji. The sure-hit skill was unable to hit Maki as it was unable to recognize her who had no CE.

Hah, so it's confirmed Toji and Maki are not subject to sure-hits, barring that of Malevolent Shrine. That's huge, and it makes them that much more of a threat.

That was easy and fast I guess... But in some way I hope that we are going to get more plot development, I mean, I think that is the time to know what happened With Juji, Fushiguro and the others, what they did with their points and more about Kenjaku's Plans.

Maki is even more of an anomaly than we thought, the fact that she doesn't have cursed energy but is on par with high grades jj fighters means she is (like Toji) a real threat in the jujutsu world and their rules. People like Maki and Toji are not hit by the DE summoning and are free to enter/exit as they want from barriers and domains. Btw, Mai's sword apparently has her soul or something similar, maybe that's the reason Maki is able to see her, and been her twin must be another factor. I know most of the readers hated this mini-arc to improve Maki powers. But i think it was extremely necessary for her character to move on after everything she's been thru and get her well deserved buff. Finally we have a good female character on the same level as the males.

I think the mini arc was good. Maki is one of my favourite characters. But I must admit my patience was running thin with Naoya so I am glad we are done with him

By now I would say that there is nothing more to say in the colony, too bad for Kamo, I would have hoped for something better for him.

Because she was poorly treated as a Toji's substitute and was always weak compared to others, now she is stronger and ppl are not very happy to see her like Toji level, the fanboys hate to have a strong female in a manga for boys
I mean... they are used to the cliche about the superman saving the princess...

Me too. I think if Naoya wasn't her opponent, things should go better, and these 2 random Deus Ex machina dudes coming with god sending advices to awaken Maki didn't help much either.

You said right, many see her as a Toji 2.0 and think it's not her anymore.

I don't get the hate around Maki.
I love that we have another Toji in the manga and she is now a powerhouse close to Okkotsu and Gojo.
Her arc slaughtering her own family was great imo. Of course she ain't no Toji in terms of style and charsima
but I still like that she's evolved.

I always found the Toji 2.0 discourse very silly, because the story only compares them in terms of feats, because they are the only characters with the same heavenly restriction. But other than that their characters are very different.

Anyways, i think the most cuestionable thing about this mini arc, is sumo and katana dude coming out of nowhere, and being so convenient for all this development. But for the rest im fine.

If they hate her development we can say they just hate her in general. If they were thinking Maki would still be a gag character that existed only to get beaten, they were so wrong. She is one of the main characters since Jujutsu 0 and Gege made us see her coming literally from zero to hero. Toji didn't have this kind of development, he just came from nowhere and was on par with Gojo, that's why the impact was so strong when we met him in the manga, but since we know Maki as the girl who was once the one who couldn't see curses without glasses, who was strong with a weapon but less than average compared to others, see her getting this strong had a negative impact because of her previous imprint as just a weak girl. For them, that was her place in the manga... geez... it feels like we have a bunch of Zenin readers who despise women and caught Naoya's pride virus. Which makes Gege plans for Maki destroying her entire clan even better if this was his intention since the beginning: " women are strong, women can be strong, men just fail to recognize and admit they can be more than just a dansel in distress". Maki destroying the Zenin clan is the same as destroying all this way of thinking and Naoya was the last remnant of this weak mindset.

So zero cursed energy is almost a divide by zero asymptotic power up huh. Insanely enhanced physical ability, “invisibility” to the sixth sense and now immunity to domain expansions.

The “next stage of human evolution” is going to be heavenly restriction for all. Calling it now. Even Sukuna would find that a challenge.

How does Gege explain the rest of the world lacking cursed and cursed energy if to do so means an automatic superhuman power up for all?

Comparing JJK to the MCU: Maki is now captain america, not technically a superhero but more like the pinnacle of what a regular human could become.

I think people don’t like Maki because she’s constantly being used a measuring stick to gauge Toji’s prowess. People love Toji but don’t like the idea of Maki being used as his stand in & eventually surpass him. I think a lot if the Maki haters would prefer to see these feats performed by Toji opposed to a character they think’s less cooler.

This chapter also further solidifies how much a threat Toji was to the Jujutsu sorcerers. People always said anyone with a Domain Expansion could beat him because of the instant hit. But now we learn him & Maki are not only immune to the the guaranteed attacks but can walk in & out of the barriers ???? That’s fucking insane!!!!

Immense physical stats + Inverted spear of heaven + DE immunity is fucking nuts

Also I don’t see similarities between Toji and Maki personality wise. Only thing they share is the heavenly restriction. For me they are 2 different characters
