I am wondering about Sukuna's comment on Gojo's corpse disappearing. Maybe it was not Ui Ui's doing and someone on Kenjaku's side? Could he become Kenjaku's next vessel?
Yep. It was all just to setup the "Higuruma doesn't actually confiscate Sukuna's cursed technique" plot twist. Just like Yorozu being reincarnated into Megumi Fushigoro's sister was just a setup to add personal stakes and explain why all the Jujutsu Highschool students would participate in the culling game in the first place.I find hilarious that the whole purpose of Kamutoke was to avoid Higuruma (confiscating) one of Sukuna's techniques (with his "Trial" domain expansion). It literally appeared some chapters ago, and It wasn't so useful for Sukuna in combat.
No, it was Ui UiI am wondering about Sukuna's comment on Gojo's corpse disappearing. Maybe it was not Ui Ui's doing and someone on Kenjaku's side? Could he become Kenjaku's next vessel?
If they do that, Gojo will come back as a Teke-TekeCan they reincarnate Gojo on his own body? Something like happened to Toji
But how they will become a weapon after they die? I remember Mai turned into one for her sister, but she sacrificed herself for that, for the other characters to do the same, they would need Mai's ability and to sacrifice themselves and not be killed by SukunaI found a great theory saying each dead characters may be reincarnate as cursed weapons for maki to wield. Each weapons may inherit the CT of the one who fell like nanami’s weapon.
I pretty much completely agree.Yep. It was all just to setup the "Higuruma doesn't actually confiscate Sukuna's cursed technique" plot twist. JJK, like plenty of other shonen fighting manga, is similar to porn. Sure, there might be a plotline, and sure, it occasionally might be compelling, but in the end it's mostly about being a setup for the action scenes. If we're going to compare, let's look at roughly equal tier occult fighting title - Chainsawman.
Chainsawman is, at its heart, a character study. Denji's poverty, his doggy's motivation to see him live a happy life, and those who wanted to separate them - everything revolves around those elements. The plot is determined by the characters' motivations and serves to reveal their nature. The action, the fighting and conflict, is predictable and inevitable based on the differing motivations of those characters, but, and this is key here: the pacing and the outcome of those fights serves to push the story forward. More simply, in Chainsawman, the fighting is the engine that propels the plot forward.
JJK is, at its heart, an action fight sequence. Disagree if you like, and it certainly didn't...start...that way, but JJK has now had not one but TWO tournament plot lines - the Tokyo vs Kyoto campus thing, and now the culling games. Shows that devolve into fighting tournaments (sorry Toriyama!) make it plainly obvious that what they're about it the fighting itself. For fighting stories, it's the plot that drives the fighting - as setups and rationale for the next battle. No matter how interesting or enigmatic the characters, they're only interesting because the author wants to keep you guessing at who will win the next fight. More simply, in Jujutsu Kaisen, the plot is the engine that careens the characters to smash together.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. Just recognize that the plot elements are always going to be "just good enough" to propel the fighting. There's honestly little point in debating the plot and the logic and who would win, etc. Just enjoy the title for what it is. Unfortunately...it's trying to be something its not, which I think is creating frustration for some readers, myself included.
Where both titles start to struggle is when they try to be something they're not. Chainsawman's current arc is dogshit. Denji's character arc was basically complete so he stopped being interesting. The plot killed off all but one of its characters, and it's a plot-driven character study so that didn't work. It also tried to shoehorn in high concept fantasy at the end of the first arc. That element (the plot line that the demons chainsawman kills don't reincarnate, and when they die their whole CONCEPT ceases to exist) was super interesting conceptually. Except...the author didn't know how to write that, so rather than pull that thread, he just used it to justify the antagonist's obsession with the main character and went no further.
JJK is struggling, hard, with both its world-building, and its high concept philosophy. The nature of cursed energy, the future of humanity, this whole Tengen merging thing, etc. None of that has been particularly well developed, and it shows. I'm more interested in JJK for those elements, and the compellingly enigmatic characters occasionally captivate me (Gojo, Best Friend, Toji) but there's only so much sloppy action I can watch before I get bored with it.
Imagine if you only mildly enjoyed Rick & Morty and only stuck it out past the 3rd season because you found Rick's backstory compelling and wanted to see him face his nemesis. You'd get pretty frustrated and dissatisfied over time, coming into forums to occasionally complain, and then the writers would finally bury the hatchet in season 7 and you'd have closure, removing any motivation to continue watching. That's me right now.
He's too powerful and we know this isn't the final arc, so why even care...?
Good question, as how nanami’s weapon inherit his CT?But how they will become a weapon after they die? I remember Mai turned into one for her sister, but she sacrificed herself for that, for the other characters to do the same, they would need Mai's ability and to sacrifice themselves and not be killed by Sukuna
Maybe... But i don't know if Maki will truly become the goat in this last arc, she is strong, but still can't see her on par with the others. If Maki help to fight Sukuna, maybe they will have a chance, but to wait everybody to die first and then come to finish the job or use some other methods is not what i think Gege would do.Good question, as how nanami’s weapon inherit his CT?
lmaoo your last sentence was funny asl.Maybe... But i don't know if Maki will truly become the goat in this last arc, she is strong, but still can't see her on par with the others. If Maki help to fight Sukuna, maybe they will have a chance, but to wait everybody to die first and then come to finish the job or use some other methods is not what i think Gege would do.
However. There's the "future of jujutsu world" where people like Maki and Toji would be the ideal, but Geto wanted everyone who has cursed energy to rule over others. For me, having Maki fighting Sukuna would be a chance to see this vision for the future realized. But then i remember Toji couldn't even defeat an inexperienced young Gojo and years later a full fledged Jujutsu sorcerer Gojo lost to Sukuna, so...
Can't see any hope in this fight. No wonder Sukuna is bored, it might express what Gege is feeling right now...
Didn't takaba die tho? Can't see Yuta putting up that big of a fight than Gojo did. Yuta needed help supposedly to take out Kenjaku which doesn't necessarily mean he needed help, maybe he just needed the help to take him out quickly and simply return back to take on Sukuna.
I do doubt Yuta can defeat Sukuna, he'll probably put up a top 3 performance up there with Gojo and Kashimo and he's definitely the strongest on there at this moment.
Another thing is Sukuna has yet to use his Domain which he probably doesn't need to against anyone at the moment and we're not so sure how much CE he has left, but perhaps he's not that depleted if at all.
Also interesting to see Sukuna is still referred to as Megumi, so perhaps, Megumi will somehow weaken Sukuna enough for the others to take him out.
On another note, it would be hilarious if Takaba joins the battle and ends Sukuna.
Either way, interested to see how things develop.
We got no confirmation that he is dead.Didn't takaba die tho?
Exactly. Remember that even Toji had to tire Gojo and ambush him to try to have a chance? I think this exactly what they will try to do, because Sukuna can't feel Maki's presence, we could see this is true when she came to help Yuji against "Meguna"( sukuna+megumi lol sry), but even that won't be enough.lmaoo your last sentence was funny asl.
And yeah i can picture what you are talking about, but thing is without something like that (an ambush or some kind of countermeasures) maki is useless here. She can’t heal from sukuna’s attacks. Even if she is stronger, faster, heals naturally better than anyone else, she can’t use RCT or domain techniques to neutralize sukuna’s slashes. She is useless rn, her only chance is to ambush sukuna or get some weapons that can help

He’s not, he was left in some kind of bliss momentWe got no confirmation that he is dead.
I think Sukuna's domain still might be broken after the infinite void hit. I don't think we'll see it again.Didn't takaba die tho?
