As some have predicted 20 chapters ago, Sakuna was defeated by Yuji's epic double page blackflash.........

Yuji is a very forgiving individual.

In the final page, Yuji says they gotta save Yuta's life and we see Maki, Toge, Panda, Kusakabe, Miwa e Momo. Someone screams (Maybe Maki?) “Yuta, you damn bastard”

Megumi worriedly asks if this is what saving Yuta should sound like.

Curious to see if in these three chapters the author will show us how the world of sorcer will change without Gojo.

Tengen for example, will it return to support its barriers?

If we go by what Gojo said, he wouldn't have won against Sukuna at his peak.

Isn't this his peak? Aside from the fact his one weakness this time was the soul splitting. Though it makes sense since I kind of forgot that sukuna was pumping out way more domains than gojo via binding vows without all that brain damage. gojo was only keeping him from using Fuga

Glad this is over, it was probably the longest fight I've ever read in the manga and very far from the best one. It got its moments, especially in the Gojo phase, but overall was too land, too draining and uninteresting.

We've already got his backstory it seems.
He was the strongest and didn't even consider those he deemed weak.

I came to realize that we wouldn't get more about Sukuna when we saw him talk about his twin.
Dude just doesn't care, so why would we?

I'm fine with that. The whole thing about Sukuna is that he does what he wants because he's the strongest. No more, no less.

I'm curious about Yuta now. Is he in Gojo's body or in a coma while tried to go back to his own body?
The scream at the end maybe was Maki or Rika.
Rika was guarding his body when he possessed Gojo's. Maybe the "to save" Yuta has to do with trying to take him away from Rika?

I know but a little childhood or background would be good. Sukuna backstory was so short, much too short for a character of this calibre

That's... it? Really? That's the climax? FMA did it better with Envy's death more than a decade ago.

I just... shake my head and wonder at the what-ifs. What if Gege's editor had forced him to take on a co-author like Hiromu Arakawa.

JJK had top tier potential. It ended decidedly mid. Better than Bleach at least, which isn't supposed to count as praise. Probably about the same grade as BNHA.

Sticking the landing is paramount to dramas. No one remembers Game of Thrones for the red wedding, we all just try to forget it because of how disappointing the ending was.

Despite all the love I have for this manga and the way Gege has built his universe, even though he's often criticized for it (his cynical, real-life approach to life and sacrifice), I'm particularly disappointed by this ending, which is too happy ending imo. It would have been logical for Megumi to lose his life too.

How can he survive after his soul has taken 3 unlimited void? With all the damage his body had suffered? Although sukuna healed himself in the end? How is it that he survived and his soul was not swallowed up when sukuna's reincarnation was complete? From everything we know about the reincarnation of a sorcerer, his soul should never have been able to emerge again, no matter what Yuji did. I wish the conclusion to this battle had been Megumi's death and that Yuji hadn't forgiven Sukuna for being a curse, especially after the last few chapters in his domain...

It's a shame, but I imagine it's a greater punishment for sukuna to be imprisoned inside Yuji than to die.

Aside from the fact that it's not finished yet, why would finishing as an MHA be a bad thing?

I'm particularly disappointed by this ending, which is too happy ending imo. It would have been logical for Megumi to lose his life too.

Always remember Gege's statements a few years ago.

For him the end would have been:

- Either of the 4 protagonists, one would die and the others would survive

- Or the others would die and only one would survive.

Since Gojo died, it was obvious that his students would survive.

I don't remember exactly, but it was explained that in Sukuna's case the soul suppression was not total.

I totally agree with you. I like it the way it was. He was just the king. No complicated BS past or whatever. Just the strongest doing whatever the hell he wanted.
I know it's shounen and maybe it's because I'm getting old. But I can't help feel that most of the mangas are trying too much to hit the feels. And sometimes things less complicated are more appealing to me.

At some point I thought the page I was reading was like.. fake. Idk why..

that was ARGUBAlly the worse build up ending.

1.) What tf does yuji domain expansion do?
2.) Nothing about the merger?
3.) The ice girl and the lucky guy fight was off paneled heavily.. there was no reason honestly for them to be fighting as long as they did
4.) Megumi just randomly decided to want to live?
5.) Sukuna was.. “destroyed?” Like… this ending to this fight was very bad. Had incredible momentum. But one thing I noticed… they said he wasn’t going all out from the jump yet he did nothing to showcase being more powerful.

if all he really had was cleave, and dismantle and Itadori survived almost all those times… then his strength comes from battle IQ, and not really abilities (albeit they are powerful)

the way they just cut from the fight as if there was nothing happened.

the fight was getting good and more unique… just for him to end him with a… black flash? Lol

Yuji's domain is a patched domain created on the spot. It has the sure hit of dismantle and as a location Yuji's memories. But it doesn't have any special effects, it doesn't even have a name.

2.) Nothing about the merger?

I think it's obvious that it's a dropped plot, better that way, it would have been a mess to manage

3.) The ice girl and the lucky guy fight was off paneled heavily.. there was no reason honestly for them to be fighting as long as they did

Plot-wise, it served the purpose of having Sukuna alone, because with Uraume giving him a hand for the sorcerers things would have been even worse.

4.) Megumi just randomly decided to want to live?
