Kirin dominates

DDK > Human Selene = Human Acno >>>>>> August/Spriggans. Pretty simple scaling

August copies Kirin's magic and gets a coffin to the face.

Kirrin should win with his coffin. Gildarts had a whole fight with August immune to his magic, and the one attack that actually worked trashed him so hard that he committed suicide.

Imagine if August is the king in his coffin...

It is a bit difficult who wins this though. It all depends on whether Suzaku legitimately beat Selene and how much effort she was actually putting in. Suzaku stomping Team Natsu shouldn't have also been possible but that's being retconned now considering the 3 strongest characters from Fairy Tail are all individually facing the knights.

I personally don't think we have information to say, either Kirin wins by being a lot stronger or August wins by being relatively stronger.

August I think. Kirin can probably defeat most of average Spriggans though

Eh, it didn't really trash him so hard. The max damage he got was bleeding from his lips or his face if you will. Gildarts was out of options since he broke his mechanical arm, August could've been done with him and Cana right then and there but PiS made him want to commit suicide.

Sure, but Kirrin's coffin doesn't break after each attack.

And no, August couldn't have been done with Gildarts then and there. Gildarts all things considered was in pretty good shape. He wouldn't have had any further option to hurt August, but August wouldn't have been able to finish him in any sort of timely manner. August killed himself to defeat Gildarts, we can say PiS, but the reality is that this is just August's performance. He did alright against Gildarts, he was on the winning end given the limitation of Gildarts arm, but overall he just didn't do that good, at least compared to what was expected of him.

I doubt being stabbed, shocked, beaten down would be considered good shape, and for all that time fighting Gildarts, he seemed to not be taking is seriously considering he spend that time questioning why Zeref never loved his child.

Meh, most characters in Fairy Tail have taken worse with ease, Gildarts was pretty much laughing while getting stabbed, the latest bit of damage he took. Let's be honest, that kind of damage is childsplay.
As for him not taking the fight seriously, he can think about a loved one while also fighting, most characters do, more often than not it empowers them. Either way, he literally killed himself to win the fight, he was at the maximum possible seriousness. If August could have ended the fight sooner, he would have done so.

That is my point, he only really took it seriously at the end because of his existential dilemma, which means he was doing his own thing then.

People make that argument like August didn’t avoid Acno because he wanted to live and knew he couldn’t win. It makes 0 sense that he just commits suicide from an attack that didn’t even effect him the way you guys sell it. Folks argue like he didn’t do anything, August was down for a decent minute. An that blow convinced him the way to have his father win, was to sacrifice himself instead of just boss up and beat the fuck out of this little ass guild. That or your arguing he’s suicidal, and just needed the excuse to kill himself. It’s just a really odd argument to me overall.

As for the actual battle. The power question goes in Kirin’s favor for me. The comparison between how they handle Dragons is stark and works in his favor. That and we know that he can’t absorb the Coffin and it packs a punch.

exactly.......The writer made him commit suicide to lose................This was the only way

August didn't take much damage after Gildarts' attack......
But Gildarts lost his arm, And he has reached his limits

August already has a powerful attack he didn't use.
👇

This attack is enough in their case.

It would be harder than Gildarts because he couldn't absorb the coffin like he did Gildarts' magic. But still August takes this

August should take this. August's MP was massively above Gildarts in X792 and even if Gildarts is stronger after a year, nothing still suggest his MP level is August's peak. He certainly reduced the gap but still, the previous gap was tremendeous.

In that so, nothing suggest Kirin's MP level is August's peak by analogy. So, as a Lightning man just like Laxus, what can do kirin against August who can copy and nullify his Magic ?

The scenario is exactly the same as Gildarts vs August during Arbaless, even if Kirin is perhaps above Gildarts period, but with Kirin having no prothésis to hurt him. The coffin ? Is just a joke for August the wise.

Acno was not August’s target, August was more fiercely loyal to Zeref to a fault that he was in a existential crisis why he was never loved that would likely be why he used a sacrifice move instead of using any other spell when Gildarts was literally down an arm, the only good one. He treated that attack from Gildarts as though it was nothing. Erza managed to defeat someone who is likely above Suzaku and she was not a DS, DS work as hax as it causes more damage than normal, case in point, weakened Wendy against fresh Zilconis. And from update, the coffin more resonates specifically to Laxus. Not sure how it would affect anyone else.

The author tells us that kirin is on "supposedly" gildarts level, so how does he fair against august who stomped gildarts
