Yeah, I've been talking about it for a while, so I think I'll just make a thread on it.

Man, this concert was so much win, but also a lot of fail at the same time! The whole concept was kick-ass, and the bands were all totally great, but the problem was that there were just too damn many! I had a bunch of great bands all playing at the same time, and I had to waste time picking which one! Plus, they each only played for like twenty minutes. And there was no way of knowing who would be on when, so you just had to shuffle around all the time!

As for the enviromental part, there were some pretty kick-ass tips too, so that was nice.

Hmm.. I was interested mostly only in bads that played in Japan.. plus few others (Roger Waters, Fall out Boy - FoB were pretty much fail).. Well, good thing - I discovered good bands i didnt knew about (Wolfmother, 12 Girls Band, Genki Rockets..)

I recorded some lives from stream at msn.. I will probably upload it, even through the quality isn't mind-blowing, and there are some lags (probably caused by recording software impact on CPU:/)..

Some Live Earth Concerts for download

I've recorded some Live Earth concerts from MSN stream - some bands I like (Rize, 12 Girls Band, abingdon boys school..) and some I thought someone can be interested in (Ayaka, Ai Otsuka, Rip Slyme..). It's all recorded by GoldWave (I know, probably not the best way to do:) at 256kbps, encoded to MP3 by LAME codec. Some of them have some lags, caused probably by CPU usage when GW recorded - and some caused by error at the stream.. It's still listenable, though :)

12 Girls Band Live @ Shanghai
Abingdon Boys School Live @ Tokyo (this one has kinda bad sound, because I recorded it at quite low volume.. well, still listenable, I think)
Ai Otsuka Live @ Tokyo
Ayaka Live @ Tokyo
Fall Out Boy Live @ New York (biggest dissapointment, imho.. they sing just 3 songs, plus sound is crappy)
Genki Rockets Live @ Tokyo (Yes, this is their whole live.. only about 1:30.. minus speech that was cut off by MSN)
Rip Slyme Live @ Kyoto (they apparently played twice, this is only first one)
Rize Live @ Tokyo (best gig there.. really :)

So.. I hope someone will download it.. :D

Yeah, I wanted to hear some of the Japan bands too, but really only abingdon school boys. Sadly, I didn't get to hear them, and in spite of the concert, I still can't get their music on iTunes...

I agree though, I'll probably just watch them on MSN. But I heard the Live Earth version of What I've Done, and it sucked! Geez, they should not do concerts...

I was curious as to why my thread was revived...

But anyway, thx to Aladar for the recordings. Is it video too, or just the music? And I heard Fall Out Boy live on the radio when they performed, but I already hate them, so I wasn't disappointed.
