Mamoru. That’s my childhood. My first grade birthday was sailor moon themed and my friends were all sailor scouts. My cake was suppose to be a sailor moon and tuxedo mask. My mom bought a moon shape cake (but stole my X men figurines) to put on my cake. So when the cake was revealed in front of my friends.... there was Storm and Wolverine doing battle on the moon.

“MOM!!! That’s not sailor moon and tuxedo mask!!!!!”

“But sweetie, they look just like the normal cartoons you watch.”

“No they don’t! Are we dressed the same as wolverine?! No!! We have bows! And skirts?! You’re the adult? How can you not tell the difference?!! Besides it’s not a cartoon! It’s anime.”

“Ok dear. Now eat your cake and open your presents.”

“Mom!!!!! Ah! You’re killing me.”

Even twenty years later, this still haunts me.
