Re: Manga gave us a wrong image of men - Bishounen! :D

I must give my list because I am constantly looking for more bishies and I dont think anyone from the previous posts has mentioned anything I like. So I hope someone with my tastes can recommend me some more bishies.
I Liked:

*Hakuron - Haou Airen
*Takumi - Nana
* Asami - Viewfinder
* Han Seo - Hot Blooded Woman
* Michiru - The Poisonous Flower
* Fei Long - Viewfinder

Basically bad boys who have a romantic side:):p

Sorry. I'm late, but I must post! I like Sesshoumaru, but Naraku even more. Even when he's just a head. ^-^; Haji from Blood +. What a romantic guy. Mukuro and about 10 other guys from Reborn, depending on my mood. Lelouch is also quite beautiful. But of course he's beautiful- Clamp designed him.

Re: Manga gave us a wrong image of men - Bishounen! :D

I think most of us here love a mix of Bishounen & Bidanshi, just that the term Bidanshi is not used that much. The link below is of an article that ta;ls about this...pretty interesting...

http://www.kh-vids.net/showthread.php?t=4789

I definitely love a mix of Bishounens & Bidanshis & I think Visuals help so, I'm gonna try put up some pictures (hehe..spread the love...)

So here are my picks:

1) Tamahome from "Fushigi Yuugi"

2) Uriki (left) and Tomite (right) from "Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden"

3) Zero (left) and Kaname (right) from "Vampire Knight"

4) Aram (left) and Jeile (right) from "MeruPuri" (same author of "Vampire Knight")

5) Grimmjow from "Bleach"

6) Cesare from Chiho Saito's " Kakan no Madonna"

7) Prince Falco from Chiho Saito's "Kakan no Madonna"

8) Masayuki Jin from Chiho Saito's "Mo Hitori No Marionette"

9) (From left to right) Luo Kai, Shang Guan-Fei, Wang Xiang and Ji Zhi-Gao from Nicky Lee's "Youth Gone Wild"

10) (Left) Angus Lanson, Eros Lanson (right) from Nicky Lee's "The One"

11) Habaek-Nim from Yoon Mi-Kyung's " Bride of the Water God"

12) Squall Leonhart from "Final Fantasy 8"

13) Gackt Camui (He's not in manga but in REAL LIFE - I think he's like a Bishounen from a manga who walked into real life...)

Hmm, it's the first time I encountered the word bidanshi or binanshi, and it's actually quite enlightening :o But bishies would be the more universal term that is safe to use for all categories of beautiful men, hehe.

Glad that you enjoyed the pics (yes...I love the guys from "Youth Gone Wild" - it's a funny manga, you should check it out if you can find it)

Ya..like u mentioned , there are "real life Bishonens" ...glad u can find yours in Oguri Shun, I've found mine in Gacky Camui (his photo in my previous post) and also the duo in WaT (Wentz Eiji and Teppei Koike) here are their photos:

Re: Manga gave us a wrong image of men - Bishounen! :D

I think I will stick with shojo manga bishies cuz if I go into shonen manga ones (they're cooler) the list would be too long...:amuse

My favorite is/was Ren from Nana

Takumi is good too...

And Akira from Tenshi Nanka ja Nai (I love that hair...)

and from Vampire Knight, Kuran Kaname... he's just perfect...

Ren (again) from Strobe edge is perfect too...

And Usui Takumi (again) from Kaichou wa Maid-Sama

Tamaki from Ouran, well Honey is more of a "bishounen" but I don't like him as much...

And then, of course, there's Mamoru/Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon...
I think I actually had a crush on him when I was little...

He's the best... <3

Gee, Winningdays, my no. 1 would be Takumi from Nana, haha.

He's my favorite character in that manga. I like him because he's so complex and bipolar or something. And I'm always rooting to see the change in him, like what fatherhood would do to him.

I also like Ichi Shinpo from Parfait Tic:

I love him because he's the quiet type, but he's aggressive when it comes to his feelings. He won't be all talkative or anything with the girl he likes, but he really makes his move if he sets his heart on someone. He kissed an older woman when he was still in middle school, after all, and had a relationship with her. This aspect of his life really makes him so unlike ordinary guys.

Lol...I wanted to be like him...I mean the hair color didn't match, but I was trying to throw roses like him, when I was little:tem

Re: Manga gave us a wrong image of men - Bishounen! :D

maybe your reasons as to why you really like them would be nice?

Kenshin did make an impression on me, especially because RK was the first anime I've watched consciously knowing it was anime (I couldn't tell Doraemon or Dragonball from the rest of the other cartoons, as long as they were animated).

And the first time I watched it it was dubbed, so obviously the voice was different. Plus, he's a small guy- not someone you could easily call cool, with his pink wear and all. But daym, purple eyes?

what a dork :XD but he's so cute and his cool battousai moments really what made him an instant sensation. And then if you would notice my username... comes from battousai. :tem

#1: Minato effing Namikaze from Naruto. I'd go gay for him.
#2: Himura Kenshin, especially from "Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuioku Hen".

Nope, no more adorable bishies from me. I prefer 'em badass. Really, really badass.

Some of my favorite bishies:

Ren from Skip Beat

Natsuno from Shiki

Akiyama from Liar Game

I can’t remember more atm, but I will come back to add more bishonen to my list for sure. ;)

Re: Manga gave us a wrong image of men - Bishounen! :D

would you guys consider Inuyasha and Ranma as Bishounen?

see, I wouldn't normally consider them even visually likable, but when I read their stories and know them as characters I think the author (same for both manga) made a good job on these two characters :wtf

Maybe I’m the only one…but I actually find Inuyasha and Ranma pretty cute. So yes, I do think of them as bishonen. Plus with both of them you get the best of both worlds. ;) When Inu becomes human and when Ranma becomes a girl they’re remain pretty cute IMH.

Another members from my bishie collection:

Meguro Shin from Akuma to Love Song

Kei from Special A (anime)

Re: Manga gave us a wrong image of men - Bishounen! :D

I also loved Kei from Special A :wtf His being so decided on the girl he likes gives him a unique charm over the rest of the bishies who cannot see the girl that's right in front of them

(how ironic that Kei's love interest is as how I described above. :oh)

Re: Manga gave us a wrong image of men - Bishounen! :D

I recently figured that Guts of Berserk actually looks surprisingly bishounen, when compared to other characters matching his type (100kg pure muscle combat machines). I realised that when seeing these models of him someone made:
http://konartist3d.deviantart.com/gallery/?offset=24#/dyxt9h

These look very much how one might imagine a man of Gut's type, but actually he has a very slim, nice face, always looking neat and by no means like on these model shots.

His face looks surprisingly delicate, actually.

Comparatively, a typical barbarian guy:

Re: Manga gave us a wrong image of men - Bishounen! :D

hahahaha sorry Kopta, but I found that really funny to call Guts a bishounen! :rofl

he certainly has some handsome angles like his chiseled chin or some very manly features, but nothing I would call bishounen.

Yeah I know that he isn't compared to the other characters here, but compared to characters similar to him he absolutely is at the most bishounen edge possible :amuse
He never has been seen beardy, either.
