MangaHelpers Art Contest #17-18: Bad Weather Photography Contest

Hello and welcome to a new Photography Contest! This time, the theme is Bad Weather. Your task is to capture a picture that portraits a bad weather, such as a storm of wind/rain/snow, hurricanes, a cloudy day, etc.

What do I need to know before submission?

All members are welcome to join the contest. There is no minimum post or user status you need to have to participate.
Entries for the contest must be posted in this thread.
Each participant can only submit ONE ENTRY and it should be a new piece. So don’t try to be smart and enter a piece used in past contests.
Use MangaHelpers’ Media Gallery to upload your entries. Any problem with uploading, let us know.
Submissions not following the weeks theme will result in disqualification. If you have any question about the contest, you can ask it here.
Color corrections and native camera filters can be used, but no excessive manipulation in Photoshop and similar softwares.
No excessive, suggestive, spoiler, or porn-related imagery in the contest.
No plagiarizing is allowed!
Submission is open until July 22, at 23:00 (GMT)

How do I upload and submit my entry?

Go to this gallery.
Click the "Upload Image" button.
After upload is completed, you'll be shown your uploaded image with an edit box for commentary/additional information. After adding necessary information you wish, click "Save Media" and you'll be brought to the sharing media page.
Choose the "Share BB Code" and post within this thread; choosing this will save you having to select any additional codes you want to post here.

, its not a great photo, but it's currently too hot to expect any rain or wind where i am. (while i hate summer to me hot days are the bad weather, but well^^) i hope it's ok not to post a more recent picture, i have taken on a snowy day , but this one is better not on the content, but bc it captures some better mood, i think.

it dosent look so, but it was raining a lot. hope its ok as a submission

Might change it, if i can get some bad weather this week :arf

Bad Weather: "Light and Darkness" by Trien

When you're at the top of a mountain ridge, and see the sky split with storm clouds on one side, and bright sky on the other. I was left thinking 'Gondor <==== ====> Mordor'

Taken a couple summers back with my good ol' DMC-LF1, being the camera I normally take hiking because it's got a larger sensor, has a good zoom (for wildlife!), but still fits in my pocket. This particular image taken using the panoramic mode, so the detail isn't great, but attempts to stitch multiple still shots together to really show the whole scope never did come out satisfactory.

Comments: This photo was taken years ago, on the coldest November night for as long as I can remember. Having spent the day at a friend's house we were told the buses could not reach that part of town. So out we went on foot, my girlfriend (now wife) wrapping a blanket around her neck as a cape and just deciding to run it the whole way home through probably -15C or -20C degrees. Moments after the picture was taken we both slipped and fell on the ice and my phone was cracked, so this was the last photo taken with it. :tem

After that I had to search through a good number of hard drives to find anything resembling bad weather. All i found was just meh snow falling and this pic.
Taken by me on my phone on last years absolutely freezing winter with a cold fog surrounding the entire area of my home town.
