Silly me, I meant to reply this yonks ago. ^^" Gomen.
Thank you. The fabric were all left overs from other clothes and I basically made the design according to the size of the pieces of fabric. Nonetheless the hem of the skirt is 3 meters, perfect for dancing
I'll have to do that soon with my remnants as well; I keep needing to use different kinds of fabric every semester, and it's now eating space that could be used for more beneficial items. ^^" Still, it's really pretty~
Haha, if you want to. But German is painful to learn, I head ._.
If you have any question, I can translate words or parts of the texts for you. Also the
Google translator is surprising accurate when you translate "German -> English". Very different from the translation trash you get when trying "Japanese -> English". Probably because German and English are sibling languages.
I'll probably explore more once I'm done with this semester, there were quite a number of things I was interested in trying out. But I'll be sure to come to you if I need any help!
Thank you!
Well, people here stare as well but it depends a lot on how Goths walk around. Most make a difference between casual clothes and party clothes. You still can guess that someone is Gothic from the casual clothes but they usually look too normal to make anyone stare at it.
I would
never show up at work or go shopping or attend the parent's day at school with my party clothes and heavy make-up. My casual clothes are work- and familysafe (my granny would get a heartattack otherwise) and not 100% black although black is the main color. As example, currently I wear long black pants, a bright orange top with long sleeves and a black babydoll over it - oh, and Hello Kitty socks with red dots
... I love colorful highlights, you'll find especially much pink stuff in my closet. Cute dotted ribbons get combined with bats and skulls or pinkish Hello Kitty stuff on bondage tops - love it
:3 I like clothes that hang on me. It's not fitted to my shape, but as it hangs on my frame, it gives an idea on how my body structure is. People say I'm supposedly skinny, and even though I would argue otherwise, I have to admit that I do like my shoulders. xD And I like seeing my clothes hang over them. (That sounded rather weird.. xD)
I like highlights too, but not really on colour, more towards print. I'm not that much of a fan of prints, but if I wear a solid-coloured long top (say, black) and I could wear a checked skirt, and let it peek underneath the top. It's probably a common kind of style, but I really adore peek-a-boos like that. xD
But sigh, I'm waiting for the right time to start exploring this style; my mum still gets my clothes.
(Not to say I don't like 'em though, she has great taste at times. xD)
