Hello again,

I just finished my second try of cleaning a page. This time it's the cover from Naruto 351.
I'll appreciate any tips you may have to help me getting better in cleaning. :)

I've made it in 754*1100 just like it's said in the Japflap tutorial. So I hope it's big enough this time.^^

I think it looks very well done. You should leave the naruto logo / kishimoto credits in on the cover though, depending on your purposes.

It looks like you were starting to over-level. The lines are starting to turn jagged, plus there's small amount of dust that needs to be cleaned off of the black lines. For your white lines, it looks like as if they were re-done completely. Most of the time white lines should only be enhanced.

Still, it's a good clean.

Thanks alot. :amuse

My white lines are re-done. I've used the line-tool in white to mark them before I've resized the image therewith I won't overlook them. And then I've tried to make them smoother with the line-tool in black. But it didn't work out very well. :s

I'm still testing with the leveling-tool, it's harder than I thought to miss the right level. :D

Damn, I hate that dust. xD It's all over the image, but it's still hard to catch'em all. :mad

I'm looking forward to clean a page with some grey parts in it. What's best to use for grey parts?
Should I fill it with a simple grey or add a pattern or something like that?

Another question. :)

Is there any trick in cleaning difficult parts like this one? I really don't know how to clean it best.
Especially when I've resized it. 'Cause after resizing all the thin lines more look like one thick line. :s

Well, this looks more like a single panel than a page, and generally panels shouldn't be re-sized. Whether it is or not is anyone's guess. From looking at it what I would do would be level it, clean it, stroke some lines, do borders, and find a pattern to best suit the sky since that seems to be the only intentional gray pattern on the page.

I'll get to your other page later since I have class now and would like to go more in-depth on it, since it's really good.

Yeah it's the small panel from page 17 of Naruto 352.
I've cut this one because I wanted to show a small example of a difficult part.
It's not really a panel worth cleaning. :tem And I'm not going to clean just this little part.

I'm currently working on the whole double page (16-17), so I'm going to present my results in a few days.
I'm really not that fast in cleaning. :s I've only finished the Itachi panel. :(
