ABOUT THE "ARTIST" (2006/03/14)

Hi all!

Welcome to my fanart thread here at the Mangahelpers. I have had a nice receiving here and would like to thank you all. I know that I'm just a beginner of drawing human anatomy and face expressions, so in addition to nice feedback I'd like to receive some constructive critique too. (If you are going to criticize my drawings, please write only about the sketches for they are not ready and I'm able to change them, thank you.)

I'm a 21-year-old Finnish (fan)girl who got addicted to the series almost exactly 2 years ago (in 2004). I immediately recognized some parts of myself in the character of Naruto, so he become my most favourite character in the whole series. I especially like when he goes Kyuubi -- even though by doing that he consumes his life energy and becomes weaker and it shortens his life. I don't know why but I have always liked characters who suffer greatly -- so Naruto is a perfect character for a fangirl like me!

I also was a NaruSaku fan back in the beginning and when Hinata entered the story I was confused -- which one of the girls would be better? For a while I even thought that Naruto could be a Casanova and have both of the girls but then I just turned out to be a NaruHina fan. I could babble about why I think it's the best pairing in the series but in the end nobody knows what will happen. Naruto could finally notice Hinata and go with her. Or Sakura magically starts liking Naruto that way and he'll go with her. Or he goes with no one, or turns out be a gay and goes with Sasuke or Gaara or he just dies and takes Kyuubi with him. The possibilities are limitless, so that's not an issue to argue about. And honestly, it feels like we fans are just a bunch of bloodthirsty paparazzis, always plotting something and wondering if Naruto does this and that when he just did nothing. :tem

The one with the death god was really funny
and it makes me wonder just how the hell did the Fourth get the kyubi inside Naruto anyway

Lots of those sketches and couple of black and white arts were panels from that doujinshi.

I'm working on it. Maybe I'll publish it this Autumn.

Quite a lot of Naruto art you have there Nawulf. Nice job. Death God / Yondaime / Naruto / Kyuubi one was pretty cool.

Gotta say, though, I'm wondering WHY you did sketches of Naruto's getting his eyes burnt out with a torch?

I like to torture the characters I draw. (I am evil...) So, my brain came up with an idea of a doujinshi in which Naruto gets the crap beaten out of him. The doujinshi is in progress.
