- Sakuno and Mifune stand on the side of the court where Ryoma and Ludovic are ready to square off. Mifune tells Ryoma that his quarterfinal match will begin in ten minutes and they should keep it to one point.
- Ludovic is moving gracefully on his horse whereas Ryoma is struggling and scrambling to keep the ball in play.
- The rest of the Japanese team wonders where Ryoma went off to and are worried he won't be back in time, Shiraishi remembering that it's the same situation as back during the nationals finals.
- With Ludovic nowhere to be seen either, Tristan and Timothee start stalling for time, but Jonathan stops them. They are about to go looking for Ludovic, but Camus stops them, saying that Ludovic will definitely return in time.
- Without staying to witness the outcome of the one-point match, Sakuno and Mifune return to the stadium.
- Flashback: Sakuno is on her way to the courts, but gets threatened by three guys with dogs.
- Ryoma interferes. The hooligans order their dogs to attack Ryoma.
- As the dogs close in, Ludovic appears on the scene and uses his horse to scare them off.
- Ryoma grabs Sakuno's hand and says they're leaving.
- Ludovic stops them, asking them what their relationship is, to which Ryoma evasively says they're classmates.
- Ludovic asks Sakuno for her name and upon receiving it, challenges Ryoma to a match on horseback to determine who of them deserves to be Sakuno's boyfriend.
- As Ryoma objects he doesn't have a horse, Mifune appears behind him on his own horse, Sumire.
- Prince says that Ryoma managed to get a hang of riding on a horse in a very short time. Ryoma replies that it's pretty interesting.
- They rally. Ryoma asks Prince if he's only strong because of the horse's movement. He then insults him while hitting the ball, saying that he's actually weak. Prince passes his racket under the horse's belly, and returns the shot while saying that Ryoma is being superficial.
- Ryoma manages to barely return the ball, but Prince's horse jumps and smashes, although Ryoma can return the ball because of Sumire (his horse) quick turns. Ryoma thanks Sumire.
- Prince calls Ryoma persistent. He hits a lob and says that it will be the deciding point, making Sakuno his.
- Ryoma apologizes and jumps of the horse's back, hitting cool drive, winning the match. He then realizes he got off the horse, thus Prince insists it's a draw.
- Ryoma thanks Prince and says that he recognizes him as the S3 of the French representatives. He asks if they'll continue the match then. He then asks what his name is. Prince consideres it rude to ask for a name before telling your own, but as Ryoma walks away he backpedals. Ryoma calls him annoying and introduces himself. Prince introduces himself as "My name is Prince Prince. It's Prince Prince Ludovic Chardard."
