I'm liking these posts, where Oda shows the drawing process of the volume covers. Particularly what elements/characters change and those that remain the same.

I have to say, watching this, I actually preferred the other version of the Luffy and Kid drawing; where Luffy is carrying the old man over his shoulder and Kid is smiling. I do agree with the change of Shinobu for O-Toko though.

Kaido's color is based on Shenlong from Dragon Ball, who was regularly colored cyan in the manga (while the anime picked green) :

Why does Oda so obsesesd with giving people weird hair... Komurasaki could've been that darker blue or purple like the gif showed instead of the current color. Toki is pink, which doesnt make sense, he usually shades pink hair whitish in hte manga.

I would've also been satisfied had the Wano females had traditional hair colours, but looks like Oda has his mind set on making this land as colourful as possible.

I'm a bit confused about the scans. In one, Komurasaki's hair is teal (same color as Usopp's clothes), in the other cyan (same as Franky's hair).

With the most recent chapter and this cover page, i guess we can expect the witching hour boy to hvae a Pink Afro... how cool with that be?

I cant wait to see Hiyori in color now, if she has the same hair color as Momo, it will add to the confusion of Hiyori = Komurosaki... unless thats a wig.

Well, I always assumed that the unusual hair colors represent different shades of black in real life.

Zoro is Japanese, Vivi is Egyptian, and so on.

Many black haired people have a brownish or reddish shade in their hair while lightened by the sun. I think Zoro would have a green shade instead.

It's real. Someone posted the advertisement for vol. 94 last week on twitter, when chapter 955 came out and got a lot of attention. Cover looks really good with Kaidou and Big Mom on the back drop.
