Discussion Magic Stages/Leveling Thread

We've met a lot of characters and often see that the power rankings and though there are rankings in the manga, we've seen some don't exactly follow the rankings in the strict sense. This thread is for ranking the most powerful individuals in the manga. Since it could be a bit too broad, the ranking can be done by grouping (eg Magic Knight Captains instead of listing individually) or you could even rank within squads or groups.

Julius was clearly stronger than Paltry during their engagement. Paltry was constantly on the backfoot and resorted to attacking the city, which forced Julius expend his magic to save the city

Asta, Noelle, Yuno, and Fuego seem to be the front runners so far. I actually think Asta will most likely get another form of power up as well towards the end.

As for general rankings, it's probably a bit hard to do since things are super muddled, but I think we can safety say these characters are among the top.

Aside from Luck, who was contending with Black Asta, they are either inconsistent or have no real comparison to draw from their previous selves. They are stronger, but to what degree can't be ascertained currently.

The newfound strength of those I've listed are clear cut and obvious.

I can agree with you on Klaus, but Gauche has barely flickered a Magic Eye fodder to hold Black Asta and three members of the Black Bull, not to mention that Droite is an Apostle is therefore superior to the other elves. I would not be surprised if it was at a level I seemed to a captain.

Charlotte was already strong, but Charla apparently is not part of the circle of the strongest elves.

To kick off the rebooted thread, I pose thid question: Who in Clover do you think is in possession of Stage 1 or Stage 0 Magic?

Noelle is currently our only known Stage 1 representative for Clover.

Julius, William, Fuegoleon+Salamander and Mereoleona I would consider Stage 0. Nozel, Dorothy, Lil I think Stage 1. Yuno and Yami are difficult to call for me. Yuno with the wind spirit might hit 0.

Those 4 for Stage 0 seem about right. Though Julius' current form is a bit iffy. Thinking about it now, I wonder if Stages are determined by skill or just quality of one's magic?

Finral's magic was stated to be Stage 3 (with an unknown caveat), but Space Magic is rare. Water magic seems to be more common, but Noelle's magic was also called rare. We'll probably get more info on it soon.

Anyway, I think Yuno and Yami are a solid Stage 1. If not yet, they are certainly on the cusp.

I think Langris might qualify for Stage 1 as well.

I honestly think tiers are grading the potency of someone's magic whether that be in an offensive aspect or support aspect. Like overall a mage could be say tier 3 but could potentially have a tier 0 spell an example for me would be Vanessa Her fate changing magic is without a doubt tier 0 like the witch queen wants it desperately.
I'd probably put Dorothy's dream world in tier 0 aswell.
So these lists could be very nuanced in that aspect

Given the fact that Yuno has much more spells than anyone in this manga (somewhere around 15-17) for all occasions (attacking, defensive, enhancing, support) so he at level 0000, yeah?
