I probably should call this a review rather than an answer - There are a lot more English sounds that I can add to the list below, so let me know if you have any suggestions!
You can hear all these sound in the KITCHEN (in Japan at least)!
ジャーッ: whoosh, sizzle
Sounds of:
a) rapid spills (of water)
b) flowing water
c) stir frying food quickly with a frying pan on hot heat.
Examples:
a) ジャーッと水（みず）をこぼした。
I spilled the water.
b) 水道水（すいどうすい）がジャーッと出（で）ている。
Tap water is running (in full).
c) 野菜（やさい）をジャーッとフライパンで炒（いた）めた。
I stir fried vegetables with a frying pan (on high heat).
ぽとぽと: trickle trickle, plop plop, drip drip, weep
Sounds of:
* dripping water
* tears
* slowly adding ingredients into a soup
Examples:
* 水道（すいどう）の蛇口（じゃぐち）から、水がぽとぽと落ちる。
The tap water drips.
* 涙をぽとぽと流した/落とした。
(He) weeped.
* スープが煮立（にた）ったら、ひき肉（にく）をスプーンですくって、ぽとぽとおとす。
Slowly drop the ground beef into the boiling soup with a spoon.
チン: ding, (microwave)
Sounds of:
* bells (metallic sound)
* microwave
Examples:
* 受付（うけつけ）にだれもいないので、ベルをチンとならした。
I rang the bell since nobody was at the front desk.
* 電子（でんし）レンジでチンするだけで、焼き魚（やきざかな）ができます。
You can make a grilled fish using a microwave oven.
ざーっ: whoosh, splat
Sounds of:
* rapid spills
* adding something all at once
* rushing water
* downpour, heavy rain
* about, roughly
Examples:
* お米（こめ）がざーっとこぼれた。
The rice spilled a lot.
* その後、アサリをスープにざーっと加えます。
Then, add the clams into the soup all at once.
* 雨（あめ）がざーっとふってきた。
It started to rain heavily.

トントントン: tap tap, knock knock, chop chop
1) tapping
2) light foot steps on the stairs
2) knocking on the door
3) chopping food with a knife on a cutting board
Examples:
* トントントンと階段（かいだん）降りてきた。
I quickly came down the stairs
* ドアをトントントンと何度（なんど）もたたいた。
I knocked the door many times.
* 台所（だいどころ）のトントントンという音（おと）で目（め）が覚（さ）めた。
I woke up by the sound of chopping food in the kitchen.

故意 (こい) intent ---> 故意にしたわけではない。（I didn't do it intentionally. A bit formal.）
来い (こい) come (imperative form) --> こっちへ来い。（Come over here.）
濃い (こい) dark/thick/heavy/dense --->彼女、化粧が濃いね。（She wears such heavy makeup.）
