There is a new series entitled Seirei no Moribito (aka: Guardian of the Sacred Spirit). The manga and the new anime that has also begun on April 07, 2007 are both based off a series of novels in Japan by Uehashi Naoko & Futatsugi Saki.

To find out more about the anime go to Anime-Kraze's main website and catch one of the torrents there. There is also some additional information in their forums here. We are very fortunate to have the same translator for the manga that translates this series for Anime-Kraze. Without them this project may never have made it off the ground.

For the manga the publisher is Square Enix and it is published in Shounen Gangan which releases in Japan around the 12th of each month.

The mangaka is Fujiwara Kamui and you can find out more about him from this Wiki.

A brief synopsis of the story: Once every 100 years, a Water Fairy implants an egg into a person who then becomes the Guardian of Fairies. This time, the responsibility falls on Chagum, the second prince of the New Yogo Kingdom.

Chagum`s life isn`t easy. The king finds Chagum an inconvenience and attempts to have him killed. As a result, the queen asks a female guard, Balsa, to protect Chagum. In addition to this, beings from another world, known as Nayugu, constantly attack him in order to eat the egg carried in Chagumu`s body.

Currently there are four chapters released in Japan with chapter 5 coming out in a few days.

Here is the title page from the first chapter as well as a page from a little further down the line.
