I thought it might be a good idea to make a thread for this purpose instead of discussing it on the hangout thread like some time ago

I finally began reading the novels and I thought I'd give you a brief summary of what I read (and discuss in case anyone else has also read them)

Anyway, so far I've only read the first story of the first volume, "Megumi's Trip", the spoiler-less summary would be that it's about the trip Megumi makes when Souma goes back home for the Karaage arc.
Here's a really detailed spoiler-ful (XD) summary
Megumi is supposed to go to Ina city in Nagano to eat the famous food from that place.

She wakes up early that day and makes lunch to share just in case they need it and to eat it as a bit of a breakfast, but she ends up missing the bus they were going on because she misunderstood the meeting place and in her hurry to contact her senpai she breaks her phone.

She ends up calling the dorm from a public phone and learns from Fumio that her senpai are worried and that they want her to meet them somewhere along the way as they're going to go through the place as scheduled first.

Megumi decides to catch with them by train, despite it being more expensive, because the next bus departed in one hour, she has to take an express train and then change to a normal train for her trip.

After going down from the express train, she must hurry to the next train or else she'll have to wait for more than an hour for the next one, just then, she sees a kid around 7-9 years-old who looks like he's lost, she decides to talk with him and after calling the station officer they find out the kid got separated from his classmates and teacher, they call the teacher who'll come for the kid but won't get there for an hour.

Megumi decides to keep the kid company, they start playing shiritori and during it Megumi remembers the lunch she made, she has a three-layered box and opens the first one, it has onigiri like the ones she made when they worked on the dorm's field, Megumi gives some to the kid who gladly eats them and even makes Megumi eat some too.

After that, the teacher comes pick the kid who gives Megumi his bug-catching net as thanks, Megumi doesn't know what to do with it but doesn't have time to think as the station officer tells her the train she has to take has almost arrived.

Megumi arrives to her desired station and asks an officer there how to get to a castle park where the first of the foods they were supposed to eat was sold, she gets on board a bus and arrives to the park, she has to go uphill and when she gets to the uppermost point, there are still some stairs to get to the castle, she then sees an old woman who seems to have trouble going up, and of course, Megumi helps her, she lends her the net the kid gave her as a cane substitute and has her grab hold of Megumi's arm.

After they get to the top of the stairs, the woman thanks Megumi and asks her what her aim was, she then tells her about her senpai and the food they were supposed to eat to what the woman answers saying that the places who sell that are closed because the main attraction of the park are sakura trees and it's currently almost summer.

Megumi dejectedly goes ask an old man nearby if he saw her senpai, he says he saw them about an hour ago and points Megumi to where they went, Megumi goes around that place but has no luck finding them.

On her way back, Megumi sees the old woman again, she's sitting below a tree making one of those "crowns" made of grass or flowers, Megumi sits with her and the woman tells her about how she once came here with the man she loved and that that made her want to come again. The woman then gets hungry and Megumi opens the second layer of the lunch, it contains tamagoyaki, octopus weiners, and some salad, the woman eats it gladly and we learn that Megumi learned to make the tamagoyaki from her mother.

When they part, Megumi lets the woman keep the net while the woman gives her the crown she made, Megumi notices the crown had a four-leaved clover which makes her so happy she keeps the crown on.

Megumi then remembers that she was looking for her senpai and hurries, she then notices that the schedule after that is rather random in that it doesn't mention specific places but only that they'll eat some certain food, Megumi goes around asking where the most famous places that sell those foods are and asking on those places too she finds that her senpai also went through there but they already left.

Megumi decides that she better just go to the station, but after three hours of walking she ends up on a rather rural place and she just doesn't know how she got there.

Just when Megumi was shouting in despair, a cow answers her call and starts rushing towards her, Megumi just stands still and the cow stops in front of her and starts pulling on her skirt. Megumi panics and just then a couple arrives and tells her to stay still, the couple was looking for that cow. In Megumi's struggle to avoid her skirt being ripped, she drops her crown, after that, the cow stops pulling from her skirt and begins eating the crown, apparently, it was made from the cow's favorite kind of grass/flowers.

The couple is really thankful towards Megumi and ask her where she's going, Megumi tells them the situation and ask them where the most famous "Romen" restaurant is, the couple tell her it's about two hours walking from there and Megumi just lets herself fall to the ground, the couple offer her to take her there since they're heading on that direction too and Megumi happily accepts.

During their trip, they begin talking and Megumi learns the couple has eaten almost nothing in the whole day, she then offers them the third layer of the lunch, some "Roast pork, just kidding" Souma taught her to make. The couple eats it gladly and they then arrive at the restaurant.

Megumi finally reunites with the other members and notices she's really hungry as she only ate the onigiri with the kid but just when they wanted to enter the Romen restaurant, the owner comes out and begins closing the place, he tells them he can't make more Romen because he doesn't have mutton meat (romen are noodles a bit thicker than soba which are eaten traditionally with lamb meat), this makes Megumi and the others feel almost tragically dejected, but then, the couple who drove Megumi there offers their own lamb meat just so Megumi and the others can eat the romen, they say it's as thanks for the food Megumi made.

Megumi and her senpai get to eat the romen they had all been craving for.
And that's the end.
Anyway, I really like the feeling of this first story, the novels' author got a really good grasp of Megumi's character. I can't wait to see what the other stories have in them.

I've read the second story of the first volume, "Takumi's Shitamachi Battle" (Search for what areas Tokyo's Shitamachi include), and once more, the spoiler-less summary would be that's it's about what Takumi and Isami do during the long weekend of the Karaage arc.
Here's my spoiler-ful summary for this chapter
The story begins with Takumi and Isami at the 350m observation deck of the Tokyo Skytree.

Takumi and Isami are going sightseeing around Tokyo because that's what they do when they get holidays which aren't long enough to go back to Italy, we're also told that they went to Kyoto last time.

Anyway, Isami is really happy about being on the skytree, Takumi complains about how they had to make a 70 min wait just to go up but Isami tells him he should be glad they went on a weekday or else it would be far worse.

Isami is so excited he gets as close as he can to the glass while Takumi only gives glances from afar until he's dragged by Isami to the glass. This pisses Takumi a lot because he has fear of heights, Isami knows that and was teasing him, but Takumi got rather mad at him for that.

They go down to the mall and start looking for souvenirs for their family as they usually get mad at Takumi and Isami for not bringing/sending anything.

Takumi and Isami think of buying some food samples (this food made of plastic they put in the entrance of restaurants so that you can see what it looks like) but they give up after seeing how expensive they are.

This thought makes Takumi have a delusion on the makers of the food samples pleading him to let them create samples of his dishes...Only to then imagine them going after Souma to ask him. Isami laughs/looks with contempt at Takumi every time he has delusions like this.

They end up buying some canned foodstuff and go for their next destination which was picked by Isami, a maid cafe in Akihabara.

Takumi rambles on about how he doesn't want to wait more than an hour again and how he finds it pointless, Isami gives a speech on how maid cafes, much like karaoke and other things, are now part of Japanese culture and that as lovers of Japanese culture they must experiment it (he also says something about how it might help with their cooking). Takumi kinda brands Isami as an otaku but Isami brushes it off saying he loves everything of Japanese culture.

After 30 minutes they manage to get in, they order a tea, a coffee, and an omurice for Takumi. When the maid comes with the food, she obviously tells them about how they should all cast magic to make food more delicious, and after some begging and Isami saying he'll do it too they manage to convince Takumi to do it. The maid begins with the "ritual" and they have to repeat after her, Isami does it really energetically and Takumi just keeps getting more and more quiet out of embarrassment. In the end, she draws a picture of their faces with a huge "LOVE" written in the center.

After they leave, Takumi complains on how the omurice could've been a lot better if the ketchup rice had bacon and so on, he then decides that he should be the one to pick their next destination in order to avoid Isami leading them to somewhere weird again.

They deliberate for a while and end up deciding to go to Tsukishima for some Monjayaki, they don't know what restaurant to go in as there are so many, just when Isami was about to search in his phone, a guy aproaches them treating them in that kinda annoying way Japanese people treat foreigners sometimes which pisses them off because he spoke to them in English without thinking they could be from somewhere else but still ended up going to that guy's place.

After going in, they started looking at the recommendations on the menu which included a monjayaki with cheese, the guy who brought them in was the place's manager and he came close to them after Isami brought out a "Trattoria Aldini" apron asking if that was English, they told him for second time that they were Italian and that that was the name of the eatery they worked on in Italy and that they're cooks. The manager kinda brushed that off and asked them if they had eaten monjayaki before, as they said no he recomended them the cheese one which made an old man called Bun-san from a table nearby to get mad saying that's not how monjayaki should be eaten.

They got in a discussion with Bun-san who kinda belittled them saying they knew nothing of "Edo's" cuisine as they were gaijins, this pissed the Aldinis for a second time and the whole thing ended up with them having a shokugeki-ish battle with the guy on who could make the tastiest monjayaki.

The judges included about 10 people who were in the place, a young and an old couple, a family, and three girlfriends hanging out and they could use any ingredient they found on the place. Bun-san made the kinda original version of Monjayaki which is the simplest one, the only thing is that he used a high quality aonori which he always carries with him, it's then that the manager tells them that man loves monjayaki so much he's even invited to be a judge in monjayaki contests despite not having a monjayaki restaurant (and that he always picks fights with people to get to eat for free).

The people obviously like his dish and now it's the Aldini's turn, they use a lot less flour for their dish and end up making a risotto monjayaki with seafood, they even use ketchup rice and even more surprisingly for everyone else, they use isonori instead of aonori and canned mussels for their dish. (Oh, and while preparing the dish, the three girls get close to Takumi which prompts Isami to say "Nii-chan is really popular despite being so clumsy")

The canned mussels were part of the souvenirs they bought from their family, the reason being that, just like with the sample foods, they were part of the things that had an even kidna unnecessary level of use of complicated techniques (they boil the mussels in white wine before canning them).

All in all, Bun-san eventually ends up accepting defeat and offers to pay for everyone...But he didn't have enough money so the manager ends up paying for everyone and everyone cheers on that and they all have fun after that.

Takumi and Isami leave, really full on that, they say they won't eat monjayaki for a while. Isami tells Takumi their mom's gonna get mad at them using the souvenir they were going to send them, to what Takumi just says they had too so that he could bring the Italian flavor he wanted (and because mussels are an ingredient both cuisines use). Isami ends up teasing Takumi with how similar this situation was to when Souma used the Kaki no tane when they presented their dish to Hinako and on how this shows just how much Takumi loves Souma. (Yeah, it literally says love, rejoice, SouTaku fans)
And that's the end.
The chapter was a bit boring at the beginning but things picked up when they got to the maid cafe, in the end it was quite an interesting and funny read.

Also, I read the first of the four mini-chapters of the magical cabagge thing, it's really funny because the first one is chapter three XD, I'll post a summary about them all when I read all four of them.

Coming up next, Kojirou's France episode

---------- Post added February 11, 2015 at 10:22 PM ---------- Previous post was February 07, 2015 at 01:59 PM ----------

I finally finished reading the third story of the first volume, "The Lost Recette", and yet again, the spoiler-less summary would be that it's about what Kojirou was doing on the same long weekend of the Karaage arc (they sure love that weekend in this volume), which was remembering something that happened when he just first come to France
Despite it being the longest chapter of the volume, I'll try to keep the spoiler-ful summary short this time
The story begins with Kojirou trying to revise the recipes he uses in SHINO'S, this whole change was brought by the experience he had during the camp with Souma and Megumi.

He's writing things in his 200-something notebook since he came to France, and then his flashback begins.

The flashback begins with Kojirou arriving at the Paris airport, while he's in his "I'm doing this!" mood, one of his bags gets stolen, fortunately, he didn't lose his wallet, passport, nor his cooking tools and the police basically tells him to give up on it.

Kojirou starts looking for a restaurant which will hire him and let him stay somewhere, after being rejected in many places (and eating some bread during a break), he finally finds a place to work.

He obviously begins doing menial tasks like washing dishes and preparing the ingredients, but he's really good at it, despite how the other cooks looked down on him.

He goes home after finishing preparing the potatoes for the next day and sleeps in his rather small apartment. He got home late and can't even shower at that hour because that's how things worked in his building but he bears with the discomfort and goes to sleep.

Only to be fired the next day because someone hid or threw away the potatoes he prepared, but without proof, he just obediently leaves both the restaurant and the apartment.

Very disheartened, Kojirou isn't really hopeful of his chances of finding another place to work, he can't really give up though, he graduated as the best of his generation and all the people before him who graduated like that made it big, but he can't even call his peers (Hinako, Fuyumi, and Donato) because he kinda promised he wouldn't until he succeeded.

It's then that he passes by the National French Library and decides to go pass time there to think things properly. Once he's inside, he finds a section full of recipe books and spends the next three days taking notes about the recipes until the library closed and sleeping in a park (with some preventive measures so he wasn't robbed again).

A forty-something year-old man always told Kojirou when the library was about to close, and by the third day they make some small talk, the man, named Herve, was also a cook and somehow noticed that Kojirou didn't have a place to stay and how passionate he was about cooking.

Herve decides to invite Kojirou to his home which is a small bistro, a woman in her early twenties called Rebecca receives them and greets Herve the French way (with two kisses, one on each cheek), Herve teasingly asks Kojirou if he wants to greet her like that too but Kojirou declines while being a bit embarrassed about it. He then learns that Rebecca is actually Herve's wife to which he only thinks "As expected from the country of Amour".

Rebecca is usually the one who cooks but Herve decides to cook for Kojirou that day, he makes this rather simple duck dish (whose name I forgot), but with it being so simple it really shows the cook's personality. After tasting the dish whatever doubts Kojirou could have about Herve just went away and he felt somewhat guilty of even doubting him in the first place.

Kojirou felt something was missing with the dish, but he couldn't really point what it is as he saw that Herve cooked really well.

After that, a fat and a thin man come in and start telling Herve if he finally feels like selling the store, apparently, a magnate who owns many boutiques and restaurants in the zone wants to further increase his presence around.

After a bit they leave, but Herve, who had started drinking some wine before they arrived, just went to sleep.

Kojirou later heard from Rebecca lots of things about the situation Herve and the bistro were in, the bistro didn't really get many people recently (which was part of the reasons the two men came in the first place), which was also mainly because Herve just lost the passion for cooking which made Rebecca do it but it didn't really work that well.

As for why Herve lost his passion, it was mostly because of his divorce with his first wife (who took his son's custody) which was mainly caused by Herve devoting himself too much to cooking, later on, Herve learned that his son died in an accident and kinda blamed himself saying that it was all because he choose cooking over his family.

After learning this Kojirou talks with Herve but can't really convince him to cook again.

Kojirou begins working at the bistro while he finds a new place to train, he does whatever he can to bring in more customers (even giving away panphlets, as difficult that is to imagine), and he's moderately successful in bringing more customers in, but Herve just kept with his routine of going to the library every day without even standing in the kitchen.

Then, Herve tells Kojirou he decided to sell the store, Kojirou tries to convince him otherwise but he just can't.

Kojirou decides to talk with the buyer, and after being rejected by the secretary many times he manages to meet the magnate, who's called Dugali or something like that, Kojirou tells Dugali that he wants to buy the bistro and shows Dugali all the money he had saved for putting his own store, Dugali tells him that amount isn't nearly enough, and Kojirou tells him he'll pay that back by working, Dugali sees through Kojirou and tells him there's no need for him to shoulder another cook's life, and after a while makes Kojirou a proposition, Dugali is going to visit the bistro on its closing day, if Kojirou can make a dish that lits the fire on Herve's heart again Dugali will let the bistro stay as it is.

Kojirou begins thinking on what kind of dish he can make for such a moment and then remembers when he went through one of Herve's recipe notebooks and that there was a page missing that was ripped off (by the way, the bistro specialized on food from France's provinces, mostly on the ones in the south, which is were Montpellier, Herve's hometown, is and the recipe notebook was mostly about recipes of that region), he decides to recreate that dish and makes arrangements for that (which include making a collect call to Hinako at 4am JST to ask her a favor).

Anyway, the day comes, and Herve is surprised Kojirou is cooking for him on that day (and even more that Dugali came), we learn then that Herve once worked at one of Dugali's restaurant when he was young and that Dugali loved his food.

After the first few courses go back it's finally time for the main dish which ends up being a Piperade, that's a dish Herve made a lot with his son.

Kojirou actually added bamboo shoots to the piperade to give it a better texture (that's what he asked Hinako for), and in the end, the dish makes Herve remember many things including his passion for cooking and Dugali even offers Kojirou to work for one of his starred (as in with Michelin stars) restaurants (Kojirou kinda hesitates to accept but does so immediately after a silent nod by Herve).

The flashback ends and Kojirou ends up inviting his staff to have a drink after work, they're all really surprised because he's never done such a thing, but after a short while they all gladly accept.

The end.
This chapter was waaaaay better than I expected, it's the kind of stories that changes your whole perspective on the characters portrayed in it.

Hi :)
I was just wondering if you knew anywhere to read the light novel? In english?
I've been looking for it but I can't find it :o
Maybe no one's translating it?
I'm not too sure so I thought I'd ask just to be sure (because I really wanted to read it ahaha).

The only way to read it is if you buy the books in Japanese (I don't know if there's any digital version)
And I said buy because there's no public raws for it
All of the summaries I posted here were from what I remembered after reading each chapter of said books, I might try to translate them sometime in the future but I don't think anytime soon

I finally finished reading the last chapter which is about what the rest of the dorm members did for the long break
This time I'm making a rather short spoiler-ful summary for 2 reasons, the first is because I don't really feel like writing much XD, and the second is because it took me so long to finish this chapter I don't remember all the details
The story's is narrated from Yuuki's perspective who also was tasked by the hunter's association (or something like that) back home to come up with ideas to get young people into hunting)
Only she, Ryouko, Shun, and Satoshi stayed for the long break.

Satoshi goes around asking each of them for a specific ingredient one night, gives them a spoonful of a ramen the next morning, and then tells them to try to recreate it from what they remember of the taste.

The three of them divide the task, Shun is in charge of the noodles, Ryouko of the kaeshi, and Yuuki of the soup.

They go through many ideas and trial and error and they get closer and closer but they just can't find what the "hidden ingredient" Satoshi told them the ramen had was.

Just after they (mostly Yuuki) felt like giving up, Satoshi gives her a hint: "What kind of ramen was it?", Yuuki kinda hates him for that and goes to her room, she eventually bites some chips made from wild game while she was thinking on the task she originally had for the weekend and then remembers those chips had the same flavor the ramen had.

The hidden flavor was a kind of deer meat, and after all, Satoshi praises them for recreating it so well and gives them a reward.

Zenji then comes down and reveals he was there studying all this time and wanted to eat some ramen after he smelled that one just now but it was all over by then.

Edit: Oh, I forgot about the title, it was "The Silent/Peaceful Polar Star Dorm"
Edit2: I forgot another thing, Itou Michiko (these novels' writer) is also the writer for the L'étoile spinoff

Appreciate you taking the time out for these. It's not a priority but still nice to have an idea what's going on in these side stories in case they may play a part in the bigger narrative later on. :)

Snap, I forgot to ask but does anyone know if voume II has come out for a la carte yet?

^Okay, so is there a specific reason Hisako is making a Soma cake with the rest of the gang or is that just an aesthetic add on with no bearing on the actual stories inside? Can't wait to see what they have in store for the volume 3 cover after this last one :p

Edit: So I saw the cover for chapter 114, which was very nice, but of interest to this thread was the picture on the lower right with Soma and his dad together. Is that the new cover for volume 3 perchance?

@Eru13

Have you read the Erina/Hisako portion of the novel, yet?

If so, do you mind summarizing the events that happened between both them?

Someone in another forum said it was a beautiful read, & it could somehow entail how the relationship between Souma & Erina will pan out, in the future.

Arigatio! :^_^

I read all three novels by now XD, I just never got to write summaries about them
The overall gist of that chapter is (from what I remember)
Hisako is at training at some waterfall when Ryou and Alice come to tell her Erina's sick and just won't get better
Hisako was there because Erina fired her after there was something left out in a kitchen and, after looking for who was responsible, Hisako was eventually held responsible
We get a whole lot of flashbacks on Hisako and Erina's relationship (how they met and how Hisako became Erina's secretary)
Hisako ends up recovering Erina's trust by making some dish and help her recover
In the end, the actual culprit of what got Hisako fired was Alice

^Wait. What? Am I reading that right? Erina actually firing Hisako? That's the last thing I would've expected from Erina, given their close relationship. Was it so serious to an extent of her getting the sack? Wow. Also, when did that happen?

If anything, legal action should be taken against Alice (why am I not surprised?). xD

Lol you should share with us some the interesting stuff you've read from the rest of the novels (like the blonde & Jouichirou). :p

Well, I'm kinda bored right now so I'm going to make quick summaries of what I remember of every chapter in novels 2 and 3

Volume 2 - Sweet Memories (the theme for this volume is "sweets")
Chapter 1 - Ricordi di noi due (The memories of the two of us)
This story takes place a bit before the Aldini brothers moved to Japan and the main character is Isami.

Isami and Takumi have a childhood friend their age called Bianca, they all lived in Florence, but she was going to move to Rome just a few weeks before the Aldinis moved to Japan.

Isami always knew that many girls liked Takumi and he's pretty sure Bianca does so too, so he arranges things so that they go to a movie showing at a Piazza together so that they can see a movie Bianca loves a lot that's shown almost every year there.

In the end they don't show that movie but Spiderman which doesn't please Bianca much, some other thing happens and she leaves kinda after fighting with Isami, and at some point after this, they decide to hold some sort of farewell party for Bianca and make her favorite dishes.

They have lots of trouble with the dessert, they first want to make a gelato as she loves them, but after going to a gelato place they somehow decide they can't really do it (I think it was hard or something), instead, they ask the owner for the flavor Bianca usually orders (lemon) and decide to make another dessert based on that.

Isami and Takumi visit their Italian grandparents in Sorrento and they learn the lemon season (February) is way past by then (it's summer).

The party is held at the Trattoria (they pretty much reserved it for the party, I think their parents were out of town for some reason).

In the end the dessert was a panna cotta with some lemon granita (made from Limoncello their grandparents gave them)

Everyone's happy and the time to part comes, at some point, we see Takumi talking alone with Bianca asking her if she's not going to confess to Isami, and she says something among the lines "he's just so dense"
Chapter 2 - The Pursuers
This takes place at some point after the election preliminaries but before the main tournament and Shun is the main character.

The chapter is full of Shun flashbacks on how he doesn't show it but he's pretty passionate and how he began cooking.

At the beginning Shun has some sort of fight with Satoshi (basically, Satoshi keeps pointing that Shun just gives up too easily even when he says he doesn't like to lose) and to sort things out Satoshi makes him (and Ryouko and Yuuki) go teach the kids from the cooking classroom.

The only change is that a new kid joined the classroom, he always keeps disassemblying and assemblying his toys or playing videogames so he doesn't really get along with the other kids.

The theme is vegetable sweets so it takes them a while before they can get the kids fired up.

Ryouko and Yuuki make some cool sweets and get things done fairly easily. (some donuts, cakes, and other kinds of bread I think)

Shun kinda sees himself on the new kid and basically all he ends up doing is things that will help him make friends.

I think Shun ends up making a tomato based sweet and he ends up getting the other kids to get along with the new kid by letting him repair one of the other kids console.

Thanks to some dialogs with Ryouko and the whole new kid thing, Shun has some sort of enlightment on how he tries to keep cool instead of just being honest to his feelings and be more reckless.

So yeah, we confirm Shun has some sort of rivalry with Satoshi and that Ryouko likes him. (well, we only get a glimpse of the second, it's not confirmed until the Vietnam chapter of the third novel)
Chapter 3 - Sweet Memories
This is the Hisako chapter.

To add a few things:
-Erina fired Hisako because she took the kitchen not being "clean" was a complete lack of professionalism by the one who caused it, and I think she was about to fire someone else but Hisako ended taking responsibility for it.
-I think the flashbacks included Erina eating some sweet Alice made as kids and really disliking it
-I think Hisako actually won Erina's trust when she was ill because of that or something among those lines
-She makes that same dish now that they've grown up
Chapter 4 - Festival Girl
This takes place during summer, at a festival in Souma's neighborhood and Ikumi is the main character.

Basically, Souma invited a bunch of people to his local festival since he was participating too.

Ikumi goes but doesn't get to meet Souma because he's busy, instead she meets Megumi who lost Ryouko and Yuuki and was wandering alone.

They eventually meet an old man who makes some handmade caramel figures who was actually Ikumi's teacher on that topic once when she was younger.

Kinu (the karaage manager) actually has some cart which sells caramel made with a machine that have a Youkai Watch parody's goods so the kids flock to her.

Ikumi basically pulls what Souma did during the buffet and pulls people in. (Megumi helps her out since the old man is kinda old for all that, he still helps though)

Kinu's cart ends up exploding due to overload or something.

I think they actually meet up with Souma in the end.
That took way more time than expected XD, I might do vol 3 if I feel like it in the future
Also, bear in mind this summaries aren't nearly as accurate as the first few, I probably got a few things wrong (especially on the Hisako chapter) as it's been a few months since I read the stories

IF. I. FEEL. LIKE. IT. IN. THE. FUTURE.
Please don't do this to me (us). :8C :p

Thanks a million! It seems Isami's off the market, & paves the way for Megumi to perhaps follow the Takumi route. :teehee

Its certainly nice to get a more in-depth look into the other characters, as well (Shun & Ryouko confirmed OTP! xD). お疲れ様! :3

^He's been in Japan for the last 3-4 years or so while she was in Rome and nothing happened between them, saying Isami is 'off the market' seems premature given that Bianca seemed frustrated with how dense he was etc. You see plenty of situations when previous crushes learned to move on with some time and distance, I mean heck Hinako & Fuyumi haven't gotten together with Shinomiya after all this time despite their obvious crushes. I'm still on the Isami with Megumi train and Takumi with Ikumi at the moment.

Also, Eru, this might be a bit much but could you skim through the Hisako chapter again at some point, cause I'm VERY confused as to what was going on in that one exactly

^Oh c'mon, they finish each others sentences, share the same thoughts about Soma, Ikumi was rather worried about him after his loss to Subaru, in fact outside of Polar Star and their own cliques they probably share the most screen-time hanging out with each other :p

I actually think Takumi won't end paired up with anyone during what the canon storylines cover, as for Ikumi, I can pretty much see her dating anyone but Kanichi XD

Why is no one else seeing the TakumixIkumi potential that I am? I thought it was there the moment they first met and interrupted each other's sentences :p

They're just way too similar to each other to end up as a pair XD
