2. Chainsaw Man #18 - 71,197 (3 days)

Chainsaw Man is getting destroyed this volume, came a long way from selling 600K in a month. It does seem to be a bad first week for everyone, but the series has been bleeding sales since the anime.

Part 2 is so boring
I don't blame the fanbase for not buying these latest volumes

I liked the new protagonist but the manga has been extremely boring for over a year now. It basically switched focus back to Denji just to show him being miserable for 15 chapters straight with the occasional shock value moment. I was so happy when the part 2 announcement dropped but in hindsight, I wish it had ended at Part 1.

Also, I think it's a good case of the downsides of killing so many characters. It makes for good plot moments but only if the story is actually ended. When the story keeps going and now you lack the popular main characters from the first part, it's a much harder sell. Aki was more popular than Denji and Power and Makima were basically the faces of the series. Replacing them was always gonna be hard but Part 2 hasn't even come close to it. Makima especially, her character was the engine that made the first part so good and without her, it's just not the same
