i think the series will have the same deal as Oshi no Ko, Kubo-san & 100 Kanojo.
The next chapter is scheduled for 3/4 in YJ.

I don't think they are a meme, we knew SxF and K8 would do really well based on how well they ranked on there, even series from other magazines like Frieren did well in that area before volume 1. I'm not saying its 1 to 1 but i do think its pretty telling

they change based on stock which we have no clue if it big or small
they apparently change based on the time you access amazon at
they apparently change based on the country you access amazon from

they only indicate that popular manga will sells, which is redundant and useless

I never paid attention to amazon preorder rankings and and I knew SxF & K8 would be successful because of their views count and online reception

So, KILLER FRIENDS was designed as a 12 chapter short series, but the author would have been allowed to continue the series if the views were good enough. Because they weren't, the author had to rush any developments it had (for around 30 planned chapters) to not allow the story to end on the middle.

The author also mentioned he wanted to make 100 chapters before, that sucks.

So, KILLER FRIENDS was designed as a 12 chapter short series, but the author would have been allowed to continue the series if the views were good enough. Because they weren't, the author had to rush any developments it had (for around 30 planned chapters) to not allow the story to end on the middle.

I am confused by this, if they designed it for a 12 chapter short series, then why are they now rushing developments? While designing the 12 chapter short series, did they not design a satisfying ending for the short variant too? xD

Yeah this case sounds more on the author. If he was only guaranteed 12 but maybe would get more sounds like the best plan would be to plan for 12 but also a way to continue past that if it's successful.
