oh wow! People actually DO ask questions! I didn't think anyone would...
ok let me see...
Before I ask any question, on behalf of everyone who reads and enjoys your transes: THANK YOU!!!
thank you for reading them!
Now for a few questions: Hmm... Let's start off with the basics...
Where do you live?
UK...in Leicester,, if you know it
What got you into translating first?
hmmm, I read some of the other trans and though...hey! I could do that, so why don't I!? Though the first time was really nerve wracking
What got you interested in manga?
To tell you the truth, I'm not actually an otaku...well, I am now perhaps but, when I went to Japan at 22 I wasn't interested in comics at all. I'd seen akira but that was about it. One of my students in Japan gave me some manga "fist of the north star" and "kenji" (a little known one) to help me learn Japanese. I was hooked and haven't looked back.
How many years have you been studying Japanese?
hmmmm, about 6. Though I passed 1 kyu after 3.5 years in Japan. Not bad eh?
Would you ever want to be a professional translator? Why or why not?
not really. I find it a little taxing..it makes my head hurt and I'm too much of a perfectionist. I finish mine and think "not bad" then I read someone elses and think "OMG! that sounds much better!" -I'm happy being an English teacher.
I think that's enough q's for now. ^^
thanks for asking

Hi bruce!
I sometimes lurk NF (though not much lately. I'm also not a registered member there), and I learned that KWGoD stands for Killer Wooden Giraffes of Doom. My question is, why the fascination on KWGoD? Not that there's anything wrong with it
it's probably because KWGoD are the most powerful force in the universe. I love surreal insane humor and KWGoD are just the best. Seriously, the fan art produced by that one club alone is incredible, the artists never cease to amaze me. It's so funny. But back to the question...I started the club cos I couldn't get over how surreal and weird that jutsu was...these huge wooden heads gobbling up biju chakara! -WTF!?!
Hey bruce
My questions :
Do you own all Bruce Lee movies?
I did at one point, though it's not a very hard task as there are only about 5, right?
Did you like his son Brandon Lee?
Hmmmm, I only saw THE CROW and he was good in that. I once went to a halloween party as him
Do you know how really Bruce Lee died?
yes. He had an allergic reaction to cannabis [and or a headache tablet] while at his mistresses house.
Who do you think now is more similar to Bruce Lee : Donnie Yen or Jet Li?
To be honest, I don't think either are. Bruce lee was much more than a martial artist/movie star and his message and wisdom are what keep him alive to this day. Jet li could pronbably score higher points than brucelee in a martial arts tourny but that's not what bruce was about. Bruce was a Chinese martial artist but he said -only use what is useful and throw the rest away- that's a good lesson for people to this day. I think if he were alive BL would be doing BJJ in the Octagon.
Thanks for all you r questions.
