Seinen The Fist of the Blue Sky (Souten no Ken) by Buronson & Hara Tetsuo

I became interested in the series as a whole after reading some fist of the blue sky (which, if i am lucky, i can start Editing soon). Although Fist of the North Star was serialized in shounen jump, if you read it you can tell that it sort of blurs the lines between shounen and seinen. Any other fans here? I admit, i dont know much about the universe as a whole but i am willing to check out any series where someone can stick a finger in someone's head and make it explode. (or i would be if there wasnt a gap in Edited Mangas and/or there were american releases for the series)

While i am on the subject of FotNS/FotBS, what other super crazy series are there out there? What i mean is, what other series have protagnists who dont take shit, are too large to imagine and have crazy human dissolving attacks? I know Mad Bull 34 and this series but i dont know of many others worth my time (Jojo has its moments when it is like this, but then Araki feminized the characters)

Summary for Fist of the Blue Sky:

Taking place in 1930s Japan and China, Kasumi Kenshiro(the uncle of the lead from Fist of the North Star) is forced to leave his teaching job and settle an old gang rivalry with the help of his martial arts. Along the way, he meets the son of one his triad buddies, an old flame, and a mysterious old man who teaches him new techniques which will assist him in his quest.

Big fan here. So your gonna start Editing again?

The first chapters of Blue sky were scanlated by the guy who scanlates the Fist of the northstar. But he seems to want to finish northstar(wich he should. as it has big hole for several books without any translated chapters.) first so it would be great if you. or someone picked this up.

I would love to work on Fist of the Blue Sky but i am waiting on one thing to fall into place. However, this topic is only in small part about my FotBS Edited Manga efforts. I have been an outside fan of Fist of the North star particularly after seeing the movie (which i understand compresses alot of the story into a two hour movie, meaning i should read the manga). However, after seeing the kind of influence it had for some series that followed it, I started to realize how crazy it is. I just wish more series existed like it.

While i havnt read that much of the manga(i have the old viz releases, but they stopped after 5 vols) if you follow the anime. Then the movie is the first 52 episodes :O thats crazy!

well, good news. I got in contact with the translator and we should start Editing regularly by the end of the month but i do have a chapter that he gave me that is almost completely edited. I could be mean and hold it for a while but i probably wont do that

Uncompleted. currently 15 vols are out in japan.
The story is about Kenshiro, The uncle of Kenshiro from Fist of the northstar.
Kenshiro used to be known as the king of death back when he was living in shanghai. as he killed so many gang members with his deadly martial art Hokuto shin-ken.
He is now working as a teacher in japan when one of his old friends comes to meet him and he hears that his old gang in shanghai has been slaughtered....

hmm, not that im dying for translations but would you happen to have those volumes? i know a good amount of french people are here and i am sure i could find someone to check their translations against the japanese or something.
