Thought I'd better make a thread as well,
I don't wanna miss out on all the fun
I'm working on translating the 2nd naruto databook

Oh nice I already searched a thread like this one. I just wanted to thank you for all the work you're doing on the databook 2. Thats just awesome.

Yeah, we really appreciate your doing the Databook stuff. ( I think I already said that elsewhere, but o well, it bears repeating again! )

So let's get to know you better! Where are you from and how old are you? How much time does it usually take to work on your Databook translations? And who's your favorite Naruto character?

I haven't been getting much of the naruto translations done recently... but hopefully that should change...
Anyways, as for your other questions:
I'm from Australia and I'm 20, turning 21 soon (yayayay!)
My translations take me a fair while, because I'm pretty slow first I write out all the japanese into a file, looking up words and phrases that I don't know. I basically decide how I'm going to translate it while I'm doing that. Then I leave it for a little while (and write out another one) and then come back to it and write out the translation. Then I set it aside for a whole day. When I come back to it I look through for spelling/grammar mistakes and try and make some bits sound better etc, and then I whack it up on the site as a finished translation. I find that by putting it aside for a day I find a lot more of the mistakes than I would otherwise... But yeah, so that's why I'm slow... :-(
As for my favourite character... hmm... I liked Neji when he was fighting Kidoumaru ... apart from that I like Shikamaru
I'd really like Sakura and Hinata if only they weren't so girly and annoying

Hmm.. well it sounds like an effective way to get things done and at the same time not stress yourself out! So it sounds good to me! (Whenever I scanned/cleaned something, I usually take my sweet time on that, too.)

And Shikamaru and Neji are awesome. Who would win between them? =O

I'd say shikamaru because neji isn't that good on the distance fights... and I kind of want to see neji get his ass whooped
