what can perona add to the crew? if she was going to join, she would have been there with zoro.

She could be already hidden in the boat (Nico robin style). There are enough possible explanations anyway.
And she add a lot of things:
- comic relief (seriously, a depressed Zoro is funny)
- Great power to dispose fodder
- she would be the "scout" of the crew. Her devil fruit is perfect for that.
- she have her own style & doesn't look like/feel like any other character in the manga

Her ability is really good and usefull + she's funny and kinda has the Strawhats still
Mihawk won't be always at home ... she'll probably be bored and leave so she has a chance.
