Alright Im going to refer to both the anime and the manga for this theory.
Well in the manga, nishi and izumi talk on the subway car about how the japanese cannot lose, i assume that this is reffering to losing missions, because in the anime, where kurono dies at the end leaving no survivors (he dies, dont question) in the gantz room, the gantz in that room dissapeared, I only assume that is "losing" when the entire room dies out and theres nobody to pass help down the country is eliminated from the gantz standings, so tokyo lost due to kurono's death in the anime, but he lives in the manga so they didnt lose quite yet, what yall think?
