Introduction
Everyone must agree that one of the best parts of naruto are the explanations by Kishimoto of HOW a technique works, as opposed to, say, Bleach *blocks flames with flame-shield no-jutsu* or DBZ where the techniques simply 'happen'.
With the recent revelations of chakra types, manipulation, personal element preference etc and the hints [Naruto's questioning of Kakashi in 316] about how other jutsu work I thought it would seem that there may well be a way to explain every jutsu or, for that matter, every instance of Chakra usage, in the entire series. In fact, the idea of a working model on the FLOWS of chakra between various systems within the body could be quite analagous to the principle of acupuncture [where the goal is to CONTROL the flow of 'energies' or something within the body to achieve a desired effect].
Also, i have been playing with the idea of making a naruto-based RPG game [that is TRUE to the series, not like a Tekken game or something - that works on paper first, to be implemented in code when I have the skills] so a functional model of the dynamics of chakra would be highly useful.
I suspect everyone has some form of understanding of chakra flow in their head, its just that no one seems to ever have attempted to put it down on paper, so here i go.
Building the Theory/Model
Using information already put forward in the manga series [Gates, tenketsu, chakra manipulation etc] i have developed an abstracted visual model that simulates the flow of chakra within the body [to an extent]. There may well have been things ive missed, forgotten, gotten wrong or whatever. The important thing is that i think it would be informative [especially for the discussion of jutsu, battles, etc] that there be some form of way of easily seeing how a jutsu [or any situation where chakra is used] works.
The problem will be that it will be very difficult, if ever possible to create a fully functional model, as afterall its just a fictional cartoon. But kishimoto seems to be fairly consistent with his explanations on how things work which is exactly why i thought of doing this useless exercise. I just hope that he does get around to explaining everything.
