As of chapter 4 of the manga, there's been instances and implications of time distortion. For example:

• Rebecca arrives at Planet Norma (chap 4) to visit a young Prof. Weisz who fixed Happy when he was old. Planet Norma was also stated to have perished by Elsie.
• Shiki uses an ether gear that is referred to as an ancient power.

Although it is from another forum for the Theme, But Due to the Chronophagus. Norma Ends 50 Years in the Past to the Current Era, Showing a Reference to the Future, Giving the Opportunity of a Past or Present Alternative with Civilization.
